Mike and Tom eat snacks is pretty good though I was a bit shaken when they killed the Toblerone. C'mon man that poo poo is delicious.

I'm trying to get into Walking the Room but it's not taking yet, it may be a little too underproduced and rambling for me. But I love UYD and that's as rambling as possible so I dunno.

Who charted is probably my favorite right now. Likely due to the great chemistry and great guests they've nabbed. It's a good concept, and it doesn't hurt that it drops in the barren podcast wasteland of Wednesday.

I ran into Jonathan from UYD at the Phish concert last night. I told him I was a fan of the show and we chatted for a bit. Very nice guy.

I suppose neither of those two things are surprising, but I thought it was cool.

Welp, that's my story.

I thunk Duncan Trussel from the Lavender hour said he was going to that show too.

The fact that the intro and outro music for this week's episode of UYD was Phish was not lost on me.

I've just listened to episode 43 I think? (I'm listening to it all out of order) and Jonathan's story about meeting with commercial agents was fantastic because he started panicking that the 'look' he thought he was pulling off clearly wasn't working at all.

Even better was Seth's reaction to Jonathan's joke about being Muslim.

Duncan and Jonathan going doesn't surprise me, but I just listened to Adam Carolla's podcast and he was there too. Then again, he complained about jamming and the cover songs they played so he probably just got free tickets or something.

He's the guy at the bar spouting off racist jokes and slapping you on the back saying "AM I RIGHT!!??". In a world full of morons somehow grumpy old man Adam Carolla just has everything figured out. His talent is to be able to speak in such a way that it rallies like-minded people to his side. While that's an admirable talent, and he can be funny, and he's not always completely wrong, at the end of the day when you're swinging a hammer hanging drywall coaching boxing working on cars he's still kind of an rear end in a top hat.

Ah, didn't know the Ross Kids was a gooncast, I'll add it to my list.

Thoughts on the ones recommended to me:

Smartest Man Alive: It's Greg Proops being Greg Proops (awesome). Whats not to love?
Mike and Tom Eat Snacks: I could listen to Michael Ian Black talk about anything, so this is perfect. Tom also sounds like John Stewart.

Lou Reads: I don't understand how someone can say things so disgusting and vile but still remain perfectly sane, charismatic and well spoken.

Caustic Soda: From what I heard I like it, but one guy speaks into the mic and the other guy stands six feet from the mic, hard to listen in a shop where grinders and poo poo are going off all day.

Complete Guide to Everything: Hilarious. Reminds me of UYD if they did it differently.

Superego: The description I read didn't make this out to be some character show.

Also started downloading Walking The Room, and will to the Ross Kids soon.

I've been meaning to post about this podcast for a while now, but I haven't really gotten around to it, for one reason or another, but may I present for your approval:

http://roundtableofgents.com/
The Round Table of Gentlemen

It is without a doubt the most vile, disgusting, offensive podcast I listen to, and it is absolutely delightful. I may be biased, as one of my former co-workers from college radio is the newsman on the program, but it regularly finds itself in my weekly rotation of podcast.

Episode 56 has CBB favorite James Adomian on the episode, so that may be a good place to start.

The format has takes a bit of getting used to, as the panel is generally composed of 6 to 9 people, but once you get a handle on the regulars and their respective voices, everything begins to fall into its hedonistic place, and you slowly find yourself placing yourself in the round table.

Not for the faint at heart, I suppose.

Doug Loves Movies: Baltimore is a loving mess. Doug and Amy Schumer get super drunk, Anthony Jeselnik gets super rear end in a top hat-ish, and Graham Elwood is Graham Elwood. It's funny, but I mostly laughed at the spectacle of the whole thing versus the jokes.

I listened to later episodes and loved them. I tried the first episode and couldn't do it. So I basically ended up listening to all of them backwards. It was kind of fun to hear the in jokes and then hear their genesis later. It was like Arrested Development putting the setup after the punchline.

I concur this, especially because of the brief montage of past WTF interviews at the very end. It reminded me of the infamous Mencia episode, when it played the part where he makes a thinly-veiled threat to anyone who badmouths him. Dude is messed up.

I think it works better for some movies than others. Old Dogs was exactly as they described it and I had fun with both the movie and the podcast. Suckerpunch, on the other hand, sounded a lot better in the podcast than it actually was.

I like all the bad movie podcasts, even We Hate Movies - I like the show but I want to watch these movies too and some of the movies they do are obscure and hard to find, so maybe I'm not a very demanding consumer.

Aside from "joke, joke, joke", he's an awesome storyteller. A great one is about him developing and adult-onset psycho-chemical imbalance in which his brain doesn't flood his body with a natural sedative while he's in REM sleep (like most everyone). So imagine dreaming, but your body also acting out physically what you're experiencing in your dreams. He has a book (and maybe DVD/CD?) about it called "Sleepwalk With Me".
