When we're in our 70s living in burnt out shacks, I'll tell my grand kids I knew poo poo was gonna slide this way once it became normal for normal people to watch badly drawn stupid looking cartoons that consist of some autistic mutant's surreal sexual violence fantasy with children. The big thing is to make sure they fit tightly (at least one size smaller than your shoe size) and that you lace them up very tight. Otherwise, you're going to have really sore ankles in no time (I'm assuming you're a bent ankle skater).

Ankle skaters are when you have your ankles bowed outwards so that it looks like you're actually skating on the interior of your ankles as opposed to keeping your ankles straight. It's common among inexperienced skaters, but it's extremely painful especially if you skate for extended periods. Having loose-fitting (either in size or because you've done a poor lace job) skates will only exasperate the problem. If your skates are tight and snug, they're more of an extension of your foot and you won't have as much rubbing, which causes blisters, either. Take a look at the following pictures:  Notice how the ankles are bowed out, this person is in for some serious pain later this evening.  See how the ankles are kept straight. Socks: Not really, I either wear thin socks or no socks at all when I skate. I'd go with thin socks given that you're renting. If you have a thin pair of dress socks (they tend to be both thinner and have a higher cut), go with those. Cold shouldn't be a problem as it's summer and the rink will be indoors.

It's that it's becoming (or seemingly so) normal for a normal person, a well adjust average human being, to watch stupid looking cartoons that's just overtly sexualized children doing stupid poo poo. It's like some gross autistic mutants illegal fantasies that should turn the stomach on glance from a sane person. I don't get it, it's like half the people that are into gross child fetishizing pseudo porn act like it's a joke or act oblivious. If it just existed I would be indifferent to it. Does anyone know a method to download videos that have been posted on facebook? I've tried some method that digs a link out of the page source as well as some firefox extension that claims it could do it but neither worked. Google gives me a bunch of spammy-looking links so I don't know what to trust to get the job done.

Using the perma link, I get redirected to a "Video unavailable: may have been removed or not visible due to security setting" message. Your downloaders are probably hitting this. If it's a friend's video, can you just ask for the file? If it's an embedded video from another site, use downthemall on whatever site its from.

Depending on how desperately you need it and how much effort you want to put into grabbing it, you could always do a screen capture with something like VirtualDub, which will record video and audio then save it as whatever you want?
