Since the torrent isn't working out, I'll stick it on my DropBox for a temp thing while I split it and try MegaUpload again. EDIT: DropBox was uploading slower than MU, so I guess MU only in 2 700 MB zips is what it's gonna be. A Fancy 400 lbs fucked around with this message at 01:00 on Aug 18, 2011 |

By the way, the mod also included all songs (plus flac, lame and other tools) in the base game, so not including them might make the pack significantly smaller. Maybe even under 1G.

It's kinda buggy imo and I *think* taking a 4 day nap resolved my CTD issues. Mine only happened on fast travel though. Also, isn't the free play mod redundant? I though OWB enables that. With Cream-of-Plenty's help I was able to determine that my CTD's could be attributed to my having chaged uGridstoLoad to 8 from the default in the ini. What happened was that apparently even numbered values can cause issue later on down the road, and once you have a saved game with a larger than default uGridstoLoad value, it cannot be reduced on that saved game. It will crash on loading the save. I ended up changing the uGridstoLoad up to 9,and then changing the exterior cell buffer value. (100 is what worked for me, might be a little steep, but it works!) Played for almost an hour with no issue earlier, so I am a happy camper. To not hamstring yourself by changing this value, take the following steps to see how your system handles the changes without saving. 1) Load up a save game at a location where you can see a good distance away (Such as outside of Mojave Outpost). 2) Alt+tab or Ctrl+alt+del to get back to the desktop. 3) Use "New Vegas Configator" or manual editing to change the uGridsToLoad to whatever you think your rig can manage. 4) Tab back into the game and type "refini" into the console. 5) Repeat steps 3-5 until you find a value that is just right for you. 6) Save your game (A new slot probably couldn't hurt, just in case.) This saves you from having to quit the game everytime in between value changes. I can't be the only one that got tired of seeing the Bethesda logo screen. Hopefully this info will save somebody some frustration later on down the road.

Sam. posted:Wouldn't that be pretty boring in New Vegas? Yeah it would. I really wish they'd still have these combination of overland travels on the map/more detailed locations. It would allow for a wide variation in single locations designwise without having this weird pocket universe thing going on. Also it would make plopping in new locations a snap compared to now. I'm still doing some work on the effects shader in my vain attempt to recreate one of the FO1 preset characters with the new Headmesh: (somehow hit F10 at the right moment) Shaders turned off EDIT: (Sorry for breaking the tables there) \/ \/ Sadly no, the file that carries headmeshes basically has two different models in it, one that gets displayed when the character is without helmet, the other one that gets displayed when the character is wearing one with this haircut. All Hair mods I've seen where just more or less lazily ported over from Oblivion, which didn't have this feature, that's why the meshes don't work nicely with Helmets. It's fixable but seeing that no one ever put any effort into actually making a single new haircut for Fallout, I doubt it'll ever be fixed by someone \/ \/ Police Automaton fucked around with this message at 04:03 on Aug 18, 2011 |

Hey guys so I just downloaded face/hair mods and noticed the meshes are (not surprisingly) absolute poo poo when under a cap or helmet or anything. So my first thought is that this has to be a common annoyance and there has to be a mod that just makes hat slot invisible, but Ive been fruitless searching nexus so far. Is there an easier fix Im missing? I really want to put on this ballcap and not mess up my hair

BOG type 3 body and Lings Coiffure for hair etc. I would assume this is just a result of the way the hat distorts the hair mesh and would happen with any pack, right?

I'm pretty sure that's not how it works in the version of More Perks that I have. Taking it gives you two items: a laser painter which is actually exactly the same thing as the C-Finder and a detonator that fires the missiles. You can only use it once per day or something like that but it fires a shitload of the space missiles from Broken Steel. It's pretty baller.

So, I installed the EVE mod, had an issue with crashing, installed the fix. That's great. Works great. For some reason, though, my plasma rifle ejects drained microfusion cells. Onto the ground. While this is faux-realistic and cute, it's also annoying, for multiple reasons. Is this tied to EVE? The only other mods I have installed are Brighter Pip-boy (2x) and the bornagain Book of Steel.

Wow, that was a really unexpected companion following me around. The father from Fallout 3 (Requiem for a Capital Wasteland) actually follows you around after you save him.
