Here's a tune I recently heard that's probably cringy as hell to some, but it reminds me of the sort of thing I loved when I was new to dnb, plus it might be the sort of thing Xerxes is looking for: Feint - Clockwork Hearts

Holy poo poo. Just now listening to that Concord Dawn track, and it rules. You're right about it sounding distinct, Dr. Goonstein.

I think what I really love is the heavy sub-bass with the kicks that come in at 1 minute in. Hell of a lot of energy on this one. These guys are pretty awesome.

So, I was at Gameworks last night/this morning and I was playing this game called "DJ MAX: Technika 2" and there was this really cool Drum & Bass Track in it called "Bee-U-Tiful" by some artist called First Aid. It was really cool, so definitely give it a listen

I've been into Drum and Bass for years and been around Dogs on Acid, dnbforums and breakbeat.co.uk boards and I always felt that a lot of people on there were way too close minded about Dnb, most of the time you get called out for listening to clownstep if you don't adhere to what the guys on there listen. Also the rivalry between those boards always made me laugh. While I'm on another DJ based forum, this thread trumps their entire DnB section. Thank you all for being civil, knowledgeable, respectful, and fun! Got a bit of an interesting one here: Neon Concept - Northern Lights https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8MI0IWRDdo Now, the tune itself's not particularly great, but the bassline (comes in at around 1:30) is really hitting the spot. Maybe someone here has heard something similar in a better tune they could point me towards, or maybe I'm just mad and my complete and utter lack of production know-how is clouding things somewhat.

I didn't mean to come off as condescending but I looked through about 20 random songs for you and most of them have it. Really its more of a jungle thing than liquid but its somewhat akin to asking for Industrial with movie samples.

I've got the di.fm app on my iPhone, and lately their Liquid D&B station is all I've been listening to in my car to drive around to. I haven't even reached for my iPod in days. Anyway, here's two tracks I heard on there tonight that are new favorites of mine: Artemis - Elysian Fields https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hh4I-J0M24w Quadrant - Only Mortal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhDUxxBYXQ4 The Artemis track is much more chill than the Quadrant track, which is pretty drat energetic and much easier to speed to while driving.

Not exactly energetic stuff but it's perfect after the club wind down kind of stuff. Plus the artwork is great too. Especially the later volumes. I'll actually get round to buying the 12" boxes one of these days just to have them in a proper size. I really am one of those sad cunts who's bought music strictly because they think the cover is nice. Of course on saying all that, just remember every GLR release you buy goes towards not paying the royalties of the artists involved.
