Oh yeah and the new Nexus doesn't look like it was worth the effort that was probably put into it. I actually forgot they had negative endorsements, anyway. It's a shame; I've seen some really good mods with almost no endorsements (TalkieToaster's Playing with Firepower comes to mind). What a stupid rating system. Plus you have to jump through hoops to endorse poo poo. By the time I qualify to endorse something I usually forget to do it. Alasyre fucked around with this message at 04:27 on Aug 24, 2011 |

I had more fun building a base with Wasteland Defense than I did using the raiding features, but you can't move your base after you put it down and I found that the more buildings and fences and poo poo I built, the more unstable my game got until it'd crash every five minutes and I just uninstalled it. Bummer. Thanks. On a different note, has anyone ever seen a Companion / Follower mod that makes it so that multiple followers don't just turn into a loving train across the Wastelands? I really like having more than one Follower, but it gets kinda annoying when they just form a long rear end line behind you. If you don't even use Project Nevada's rebalance feature, does it still affect recipes? I'm asking because on my game at least one recipe isn't working. The game says I don't have any Sunset Sarsaparilla bottles for making homebrewed sarsaparilla even when I have several. VV Nope, it was in Honest Hearts at the first ranger station you come across. There are a bunch of bottles on a park bench and a nearby grill. I picked up a few sarsaparilla bottles and the game kept telling me I didn't have any. The newest version gets rid of everything that effected the recipes. As for the SS bottles, do they happen to be the ones from the bottom of Lake Mead? If so those are a different item as far as the game is concerned and they won't work.

I noticed a problem with Lings. Both my male and female characters I made have like a weird polka dot thing going on around their eyes. I am guessing that is an eyelash texture or something. I was pretty sure Lings had those meshes/textures preloaded. But I will say this, Project Reality is pretty drat good. It seems lighter than Nevada Skies too, there is no stutter or choppiness if the weather suddenly changes. I do have a question about adding the imaginator. The esm for the imaginator is electro city, does this mean I also have to add electro city poo poo? I can't say I like that mod, seems bloated for a drat lighting mod.

No, you don't need Electrocity for Imaginator. Personally, I still use Project Wasteland Vision, with the motion blur stuff ripped out, and using Imaginator to tweak the saturation even further. It makes for some really colorful vistas. EDIT: Of course, NMC's textures go a long way, as well.

VisAbsoluta, have you tried just extracting what you want to install from the 2.63 update into a folder and then Creating From Folder with FOMM?

Cream-of-Plenty posted:Were you able to do this with 2.62? I'm under the impression that you can't install mods as FOMODs without the mod coming packaged with files for that specific purpose. I might be wrong. You can just force it to install without the script, in which case FOMM will just decompress the mod as a normal archive. For AGSU, that will actually install the mod mostly fine, but it'll leave all the optional files inside of appropriately labeled folders in your Data directory.

If you're just deleting the optional folder, then you still have multiple data folders with esps in them from the DLC content. Extract and merge each of the data folders together, then rar that merged data folder, and it should work. Did for me, at least. Also, just going to say that NV Bounties 2 is pretty superb, and its lip-synced voice acting is surprisingly good. The few instances where a VA sucks / has a cruddy mic, they throw a helmet on the character and it works really well. I thought the original NV Bounties was good, though some of the characters were a bit absurd like the end boss, but so far the sequel has been a big improvement. They did a great job with the writing and dialogue, and offer a lot of skill checks and varying ways to handle specific bounties. Good stuff!

You'll just have to import multiple clothing meshes into Blender, delete the parts you don't want and tweak them to fit together. The tutorial is a little out of date; you shouldn't need to use Nifty anymore as the nif exporter seems to handle skin partitions fine now. edit: if the parts of the armor are broken up into blocks in nifskope, you can just copy branch into another nif. Most of the time things like pants and shirts are welded together though. Internet Friend fucked around with this message at 00:58 on Aug 25, 2011 |
