I wouldn't call it dark times, it's part of how what we have now developed, and it wouldn't be the same without it. StarBoyz were a huge inspiration back in the day, as were Wink, Driving To Endanger, 1096, the Wheelie Boyz, etc. It takes extreme personalities like that to do what they did. Their actions helped spark an industry and inspire communication, all of which slowly leads to enabling less extreme personalities to find something to attach to and take an interest as well. I think it's been 9 years for me now, and the average personality that becomes interested in stunting nowadays is NOTHING like what it was when I first got started. inolen fucked around with this message at 23:00 on Aug 30, 2011 |

I would but I can't find my DC Shoes, Volcom hoody and Monster Energy hat. I'm not busting your balls mang, hey I thought stunting was cool when I was younger. Even those stupid FTP videos (I still might have the VHS somewhere), it was cool with me. Felt sort of like someone took a bunch of skate kids and gave them bikes, same sort of punk/antisocial ethos it had back then. I remember reading about how the FL state police had to station cop cars outside of the Star Boyz house or something like that to make sure none of them could get out on their bikes. I'm rambling, anyway the videos are cool and stuff to watch, I really like the urban trials videos I've seen. Like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1o6p3FC3Wg

I'd gladly take a hundred 'wayne, steve, chino, and lil dev's' going nuts on a Sunday morning than a bunch of dickhead Harley assholes rolling up and down the block at midnight on a work day.

Closest call I've had was coming through a tight, blind s-bend to find someone in a jacked-up mini van in my lane over-taking a cyclist Presented with a confrontation with a dangerous beast, flight response kicked in and before I knew it Mr. Lizard brain had picked the nearest exit (the narrow thread of pavement (sidewalk)) and I managed to not die with a couple of inches to spare. There's nothing quite like the adrenalin hit of a close call like that. Angry, laughing, scared and elated all at the same time.
