I think i'd have to import a PS13 k's with an SR20DET, which would probably be stupid expensive

PO got both rear arches, the sills, and a bunch of stuff underneath the car welded just a year or so - to the cost of a few thousand pounds. Unfortunately importing is still prohibitively expensive and time consuming, otherwise I would've tried harder to get the mint AE86 Levin Hatch I've always wanted.

You don't like the look of stock s13s? I think the s13 hatch is perfect just the way it is, with the 7 spokes and stock ride height. I wish I could find one unmolested. Nice mr2, by the way.

Got bored of driving around in my 1.6 turbo diesel ford fiesta, spotted this rediculous looking car at the renault dealer near me and couldn't help myself. 2.0 n/a engine and it puts out 194bhp standard, but it's got an aftermarket exhaust system so it's nudging just over 200. One of only 500 Clio (197) R27s in the UK and there's only 191 in this colour, which IMO is the best. Had 31,000 miles on it on a 57 (11/2007) plate. and the rear:

Mazda was stupid for (almost all of) the first-gen RX-7s though, and I have a 4x110 pattern that used lug bolts instead of studs. So now I have to cut down the screw-in studs I'm using in the front so that they won't stick out from the base of the adapters, but hopefully still leave enough thread for my stock wheels (with snow tires) to mount without the adapters. Why couldn't I just have a GSL-SE with the 4x114.3 pattern

This is one of the reasons I decided not to get an STi, or even a Mazdaspeed3. I loved the performance, but I would have been using it as a daily driver to keep the miles on my Shelby low, and that's the same mileage the GT500 gets, so it wouldn't have made sense. I opted for a Cobalt SS, which was getting about 31mpg before the 3" turbo-back, intake and tune. Now it's at around 29mpg (mixed driving). STis are gorgeous though, especially in blue!

MetaJew posted:Where did you pick up your RPF1s? Are there any dealers where you can get an especially good price on them? I got them on Craigslist with the Yokohama tires on them for an insane deal. I basically got the tires for free (MSRP $500 or so) and they had only been autocrossed for a few events. Even though I knew I had to use adapters, I still jumped on them. To be honest, I really wasn't even looking for wheels at the time, so I don't know of any places where you can get them cheap, other than probably TireRack. Anyway, I got the drat things on and sitting flush with the adapters, but now I have an inexplicable tire-rubbing issue on just the front driver's side. The sidewall's hitting the bottom of the strut assembly and I don't know why, because there's a good centimeter of clearance on the passenger's side. The car has been running perfectly straight on my stock wheels/winter tires (yeah yeah, shut up, it's only temporary), so I have no idea what's causing the fitment problem. Anybody have any ideas, other than getting an alignment? (Which, of course, might be kinda pointless right now anyway because I'm eventually going to be replacing a lot of bushings AND my rear axles.) Wait, I wouldn't even be able to get an alignment with the adapters on, would I...

It would seem that your car has less negative camber on the driver's side. Is there any adjustment on the strut mount? Is the hub thickness any different on the driver's side? Stupid question, but are all the wheels the same offset and tires the same size (i.e. you have both the "fronts" mounted on the passenger side and both the "rears" mounted on the driver's side)? Finally, it is definitely possible to get an alignment with the adapters (and wheels and tires) on.

All the wheels are the same width and offset, and the tires are all the same size. I am positive that the hubs are the same thickness on both sides, so I'm probably just going to see if I can adjust the camber on that side to hopefully let the wheel sit a bit farther from the strut. If I can't figure that out, I'll just have to get it to a shop somehow (there's no way I'd be driving on the rubbing tire, I'd have to swap a stock wheel on there for now and replace the adapter when I get there).

Is this because of a lack of direct injection or because it's 4wd?
