I've had no luck in GBS but I've been looking for a faux documentary that I saw about 1997-98. It was on MTV in the UK and it was shot COPS style and it was following people dealing with the fact that they were living in a zombie outbreak. At least one of the cops was really jaded and had no emotion about the whole thing. I think it was a short one off deal I can't seem to find in online. Any help/ideas?

An action movie about a hero? I guess with a cool sleek mask who's dressed up in darker colors, sorta like a power ranger. Another movie I can't remember is where I guess robots kill babies and at the end the guy who is protecting a mom and her baby realizes he's a robot when I he gets his arm ripped off.

Sorry it's been at least 10 year since I last saw them, those 2 have the same sorta mask. Except the movie was darker and at the end I think the bad guy started to morph into this slug sort of thing. Yeah I know this is bad info but it's been bugging me for years. I even saw the picture of the guys face in a thread here a while back.

I'm trying to remember what movie this is. There's a scene where police are transporting a prisoner, and they (pretend?) to have car trouble, pull over, right under an overpass or a bridge or something, and then a van with guys (maybe they might have been other police officers?) in ski masks pulls up and they shoot the prisoner in the back. The thing was, it was like a conspiracy to murder the prisoner. There might have been some differences in the actual movie, compared to what i'm remembering, but this is basically what it was. It seems like maybe when the whole thing started going down, the prisoner in the back said something like, "Finally, it's about time" or something, indicating he expected something like that to happen.

The thing was, it was like a conspiracy to murder the prisoner. In Patriot Games, when they are busting Sean Bean out of a prison van stopped at a drawbridge. There's a brief bit where they are taunting the inspector escorting the van and asking him if it was worth it to betray his own people. He tells them to "Get on with it and be on your way"

This was some spy spoof movie from the 80's. The hero and his sidekick are undercover as cameramen at some big event, possibly the Moscow Olympics. The hero's camera has a gun in it and as it turns out most or all the other crews have guns in their cameras as well. During the big camera-gun fight the hero turns to his sidekick who cries out 'I can't shoot, this is just a normal camera !'.

This was a TV show between 15 and 20 years ago. It was animated and may have been from Japan. It was about a dog that flew around in a plane solving mysteries and looking for treasure. There was a purple cat that helped him. That's all the details I have.

There's some movie about a girl in a fishing village (in Japan? or Asia somewhere) who tries to save a suicidal dude by hooking herself onto some fish hooks and pulling his body out of the water... I read about it a year ago, and it had been around for quite some time, then. I found out about it by searching for similar movies to Requiem for a Dream and Perfect Blue, no dice trying that today, though. Any ideas?

Ok, I have two movie identification requests here, but not a lot of details. Hopefully someone can help me identify them. Movie 1: The one scene I remember involves some sort of metallic sphere (I think it's from outer space) and some evil organization is attempting to drill into the sphere. They have a super-powerful drill with like a dozen different looking drill-bits (some not entirely practical). I think they find some success with a cone-shaped drill-bit, it heats up until it's red hot, and well, I don't remember why they want to drill into the sphere or if they even succeed. The sphere might be a crystal instead of metallic, can't quite remember. If I recall, a group of kids (I think they ride bikes or skateboards or something) are attempting to break into the evil organization's compound to retrieve the sphere (or maybe I'm making that up). This would have been late 80's or early 90's. EDIT: Hah, SolarBabies, guess I should have read a few posts up. Thanks for that, any ideas on the BMX movie? Movie 2: This one's a BMX movie from the late 80's, early 90's (not enough details? drat, didn't think so). I recall that some teenager who's a really good self-taught BMX rider (but too raw and unfocused, like that isn't cliche) wants to be a pro BMX rider or something. There's a big BMX world gran super prix Pepsi 500 or something in his home town (most likely southern California). All the BMX teams are parading through town on their way to the track. I remember there's one big truck with a guy doing tricks on top while they drive through town. Anyway, I think one of the teams loses a rider and the aforementioned dude gets a spot on their team. Of course, he has to compete not only with the Super-Awesome BMX Team (TM), but also adversity (cut to 80's style montage of him and the Super-Awesome BMX Team (TM) practicing for the event, or again, maybe I'm making that up, can't remember). Anyway, I remember the BMX course itself was sort of ridiculous, it even had a spring/diving board that served as quite a bottle-neck. Anyway, in true 80's fashion, I'm sure the protagonist wins the story and the respect of the Super-Awesome BMX Team (TM) riders. Uno_king fucked around with this message at 06:41 on Sep 13, 2011 |

I have one from my girlfriend. It would've been late-80's or early to mid-90's and probably stars Ray Liotta. She says it's set in the South and the scene he remembers is Ray Liotta molesting a little girl in a car. Looking through his filmography I can't see anything that it would be and, while she's insistent it's Ray Liotta, I think the confusion comes from the actor being another creepy Ray Liotta type.

I only saw a brief clip of this, so I don't have too much info to give. It looked like it was made sometime in the 60s, and I think it was about a group of people stranded in the desert and looking for a way out. The one scene I remember is the group comes on this small hill/large rock, and it's crawling with baboons. One of the people in the group tells the others that the baboons are bad news and not to mess with them. I don't know if it took place in an African desert or a West Asian one.

I remember watching parts of a movie several years ago: The visual style sorta reminded me of Fellinis Satyricon, and the movie must have been from the 70s or thereabout I remember two scenes: - Presumably in hell, a huge red devil butt is making GBS threads out sinners or whatnot. - A man is lying in a bed, perhaps he is dying? He tells someone of a secret, maybe a treasure, and that it is hidden underneath him. The person reaches under the man, but when he does, the man farts in his hand, and bursts out laughing. I would be forever indebted to anyone who helps me reconnect with this lost gem.
