Let's see her answer a question that isn't about soldiering!!

I'm not one of those overbearing "GOD SAVE OUR BELOVED SOLDIERS!" types, but probably the thing that really irritates me the most about Traviss is how she always goes on about "I love the military so much and write them so well because I was one of them" when in reality her only "military service" was a PR officer for the British army reserves for a couple years. It just seems so completely disingenuous and if I was a soldier it would have the complete opposite reaction in me from making me love her and repeat her made up language on the internet.

Also didn't Penny Arcade have a comic once about how great Legacy of the Force was? I thought I remembered that from a few years back. Basically what I'm saying is they have no taste.

I kind of expected her Gears story to be better because she seems more suited to the kind of dumb over the top lunacy that makes Gears so great. But that death scene was so well done that I'm honestly skeptical that she wrote it.

Darth Bane. believe it or not he is actually been the Sith lord all this time. Palps and every one before him, yup Darth Bane.

I just noticed how the costumes for the Imperial Guard change in episodes 1-3. At first it starts off with a little black helmet and a roman style feathery plume but open faced, next time you see it the feathers are gone now with a metal stripe and the helm is a lot more enclosed. Then its the stranded red costume we see. I may have missed a few changes but thats kind of neat.

There's a fan theory that Anakin was artificially created by Darth Plagueis, Palpatine's master. He could create life, and Anakin was his ultimate triumph. But why Plagueis would dump his ultimate triumph on Tatooine is a mystery.

It's so ridiculous and out there that it probably what George would have put. Star Wars is really a master thesis on the theory of Reverse Occam's Razor and how it relates to mythos.

I like the Plagueis idea because it destroys Qui-Gonn's belief that Anakin is a messiah conceived by some holy spirit yadda yadda. Really, he's the product of Sith bioengineering.

Looks like Kim decided to dress up as Leia for Kanye for some Star Wars themed video, but it's being yanked off youtube really fast.

Correct. Sorry, forgot to say I'm UK-based and a lot of our covers were different.
The X-Wing novels are mostly on the third shelf from the bottom - the 7 books after the Dark Forces novellas, and before Courtship and Tatooine Ghost.

I think I've read the Thrawn trilogy through at least three times, X-Wing series twice. Some of the others I've read twice here and there. I did re-reads of the NJO and Clone Wars EU a couple of years back.

There are even a few in there I've never tackled - I'm yet to read Tatooine Ghost (it just striks me as a redunant story to tell), and I stopped reading the awful Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy halfway through the first one (but still bought the next two).

On top of that I have unabridged versions of the Thrawn Trilogy I've listened to on the move a couple of times, along with the excellent audio production of Stover's ROTS novelisation.

I re-read the comics a lot more than I do the novels.

Many libraries sell used books to raise money, so you could see if they'd accept them as a donation. And since the price is usually something like four paperbacks for a dollar, being in poor condition isn't much of a drawback.
