Thanks, that's an abandoned school that we used to take the dog to so he could play in the courtyard off leash. I plan to go back and shot more soonish.

Waterfall at Clear Creek, in the Grand Canyon. I shot this handheld, and I think this is the best of my attempts. Any thoughts or criticism?

Went down to a local beach on the off chance that the dull overcast miserable day might make for some pleasant long exposure shots. Considering it started to rain whilst the sunset was happening I think I did quite well at keeping the rain from showing up in the final shots. KingColliwog posted:Thanks a lot, it's two exposures mashed together. The seems are not too obvious but I'm not 100% happy either, is it really apparent at first sight? I'm guessing the seam is on the horizon. I think I can see it now that you point it out but I didn't see it at first. Or is there really a shadow line on the horizon? I did think the foreground was just a bit much. I'd try dropping the luminance/saturation on the foreground green channel just a bit. It's still within the realm of taste though

Yep, that's where it is, there's also a bit of haloing around the wooden "house". If you didn't notice it at first then it's good enough for a first try, I'll try to be less sloppy the next time around. Stupidly saturated colors is my trademark! I can't remove that yeah it might be a bit much, but on my non calibrated screen it's not crazy either and I like saturated colors so I'll keep it like that for now. I really need to be a bit gentler with the sliders uhuh

I've found myself taking a lot less wildlife shots recently and a lot more landscapes, but I don't even know where to begin on post-processing for these. Any advice would be most welcome...

took a 3 day backpacking trip to the Enchantment Lakes and while the weather was amazing and the larches were perfectly yellow I didn't have much time to stop and shoot a lot, we were sort of rushing through. I'm regretting not setting up a few better shots since I carried my 5dMkII and a tripod the whole way but unfortunately I didn't have a wide enough angle lens to do some of the stuff I would have wanted. So these are a few pano's that I shot with my 24mm f/1.4 and stitched together in CS5. I really need to learn how to replace sky on landscapes if anyone has some tutorials they can point me to... I'm not quite sure how to get a great source sky image given that some of these shots have an ungodly large canvas size.
