It also really bothers him that while being fantastic at his job he isn't handsome and that the people he replaces him with are not as good. Vince is a psychopath. Trying to look at it logically is silly. He's a danger to himself and others but gently caress it, this is America and he's a CEO, anything short of being caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl isn't going to get anyone to properly diagnose him.

And then when the Executive Producer job came up, Ross was the most qualified and Eric Bischoff got the position. He didn't merely join the WWF, he ran to it. And waiting for him was probably not as bad as what would have been waiting for him had he stayed in WCW. Bischoff likely would have just publicly fired him for real and never re-hire him again, instead of doing it storyline 12 times.

This gave him the contract breach to go to the WWF and announce it on the WCW sponsored radio show that WCW was too stupid to remove him from. Bischoff's personal hatred of Ross had nothing to do with Ross being fired. The only possible way it hosed him was WCW had no interest in him the first time Vince fired him, but in the end it worked out way better for him because he ended up with actual power in the WWF and never would have any in WCW due to his past.

Vince is an ~ENTERTAINER~ not a Wrasslin promoter, from Greenwich Connecticut (by way of a trailer park in North Carolina) with a freakish physique that belies his age, who controls every aspect of his life and diet with an iron fist (including getting mad at himself for sneezing) and would never ever get fat. Which is awesome, because no matter how many lovely Cena movies we get, and how much they pretend that they are a fictional tv show like Gunsmoke, no matter how much they go in debt trying to buy Linda a Senate seat, he will always be the wrasslin guy. And it makes him more insane by the day. Also the fans love JR, and what the gently caress do those stupid marks know, I'm Vincent Kennedy McMahon, dammit! They will like who I tell them to like!
