Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness is apparently airing a preview episode right now. There's uh, a lot of discussion about skulls. "Here's an interesting fact about skulls, you can't drink soup out of them." Monkey said that. "I need some new tchotchkes, his Panda skull will fit perfect right here" the villain clears off space on a shelf full of skulls. She mentions she plans to sever his skull too. It's not really great, but it's not bad.

I'm really not sure I get CN's reasoning behind their Friday evening action block. They show new episodes of everything, except Thundercats which has started over. Also not fun was last week when they gave no notice on a schedule change and flipped Batman and Generator Rex.

On an unrelated note I'm home sick today and decided to plow through my five recording of Sidekick and I can't decide if I like or not. I enjoy the characters and voice acting but, I don't get "it". I'm not sure where the jokes are or what the show is about.

Why are we talking about fan communities? I'd prefer if this sticked to the shows. I was recently watching some superhero sitcoms (Freakazoid, Justice Friends, The Tick) and I was wondering if anybody knew any other good ones?

We can agree on that, right? Still going through first season. I agree, the "give her time" joke is a really good one. Also, really? They referenced "have gun, will travel" and "blazing saddles" in the same episode? Truly "just for kids", huh.

I never really watched Digimon as a kid but over the last...I guess two years now, me and a couple online friends have been watching the various seasons on our little anime nights. I can say that the first season of Digimon is fun enough, I like anything with a sentient cactus after all and aside from some of the characters grating on my nerves it was a fun little ride. On the other hand, season 2 had me groaning each week and I think my pals put it on our watch list just to torture me. It had some cool ideas, mostly the Lovecraft based episode but the new leads were worse than the characters I didn't like in season 1. Seriously, I think that Miyako/Yolei was some manner of special needs girl because I don't know why you would wear that outfit and those colors. I liked Caterpiemon though! We're on season 3 now and it's definitely a lot...I guess darker is the term I wanna use. Considering a big doofy digimon pulled a gatling gun on one of the tamers and all...It seems a lot better written and less episodic than the first two seasons. We are skipping episodes at random: mostly those dealing with the two hanger on friends which I am not entirely against. Don't know if we'll continue onto the 4th season once we get through 3, I think it still gives one of my pals nightmares

Yeah, That's about right. And, honestly, just stop after Tamers, you'll thank yourself for not putting yourself though much else of Digimon.

It feels a lot like Tamers. A VERY good thing. Edit 2: Tamers has what is to this day one of my favorite villain concepts. Also, though Sesame Street is in no danger of being cancelled, it is apparently now where porn lives.

Also, jumping on the Johnny Test hate wagon because gently caress that show.

I like Gumball precisely because it isn't being subversive, gross, or ironic like Flapjack or Adventure Time. It's a cute show with a charming animation gimmic and a few sly references, it's a nice palette-cleanser between Adventure Time's D&D tropes and Flapjack's incontinent manbabies.

Just caught some of the kung Fu Panda cartoon. It was actually pretty alright, though as with most CGI tv cartoons, the animation is really spotty. Even during the kung fu parts, it's like they suddenly dropped to 15 frames per second. Everything happens way too fast. Speaking of old CGI cartoons, does anyone else remember Get Ed? That was one of the few shows that seemed to have pretty decent animation. Edit-- Well I just saw Real Steel, and was instantly reminded of Cubix. I'm on a nostalgia trip man, this is weird. The 90's Are All That gets in the Halloween spirit this weekend, with episodes of Are You Afraid of the Dark? and other spooky-themed '90s Nick shows, culminating in a showing on Halloween night of the now-legendary Cry Baby Lane, which hasn't been officially shown since its first airing in 2001. As their official Tumblr put it: "It may not be specifically a ’90s movie, but it definitely has cult status."
