Persona 4 Arena is a 2D fighting game by Arc System Works, known for creating the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series, and is developed under the supervision of Atlus' Team Persona. It is a direct sequel to Persona 4 directed by Katsura Hashino and scored by Shoji Meguro. Release Dates: Japan: March 1st, 2012 (Arcade version) US/Europe: August 7th, 2012/September 7th, 2012 (Console version) Platforms: Arcades, Xbox 360, PS3 Official website: http://p-atlus.jp/p4u/ (Japan) http://atlus.com/p4arena (US) There is also a sequel game known as Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold, announced on August 16, 2013, where both Yukari Takeba and Junpei are set to appear as playable characters. On the 26th, there was an original character named Sho Minazuki who is set to appear in the game. Along with this, there were both system and balance changes, such as different characters having different amounts of Persona Cards (Such as Akihiko only having 2 cards, and Yu having 4), different autocombos for the returning cast, as well as the ability to choose between Regular and Shadow versions of a character, the latter having different gameplay to make them special. What is Persona 4? Persona 4 is a part of the Shin Megami Tensei game franchise, following within the Persona series. As quoted from the wikia, "In the rural town of Inaba, mysterious murders have been taking place whenever there was fog after heavy rain. There were also rumors about a channel on television airing only at midnight called the Midnight Channel, during which it is said that you can see your soulmate when staring at a turned off TV screen at midnight when it rains. After hearing about a recent unsolved murder which occurred during the fog, the protagonist, Yosuke Hanamura, and Chie Satonaka discuss how each of them had attempted to watch the Midnight Channel and witnessed the murder victim. They later realize that their bodies can phase into the television set as a gateway to enter another world infested with Shadows. Thus begins an adventure to discover the connection between the Midnight Channel and the murders and kidnappings around town." As with the Persona series, Persona 4 uses Jungian psychology blended into Urban JRPG standards, with how the Investigation Team wield Personas to face against Shadows in the TV, which the TV itself is a play on the collective unconscious of Inaba itself. The Team's Shadows also tells a little about their backstory, with how Yosuke's Persona appears as a heroic looking frog, based around his desire of being a "hero" for his deceased crush, and Chie's love for kung-fu movies gives her a Persona wearing Bruce Lee's Game of Death outfit. And yet the player character, Yu, has no Shadow at all. Curious... Story The game's story takes place two months after the True Ending of Persona 4 and revolves around Teddie, a mysterious bear, who starts advertising a fighting program called P-1 Grand Prix, all to find out who is the "Ultimate Persona user". He also announces that the members of the Investigation Team will take part in the tournament, even creating dumb titles for them. However, they don't know anything about the show and try to find out the truth about the tournament. Another part of the game will also explain how Aigis from Persona 3 arrives in Inaba and also why she took part in this tournament as well. With Mitsuru, she owns her own organization, and a certain object has been stolen from. Inviting her old friend Akihiko, who has grown from college student to traveling around the world into being a better fighter, together they set off to Inaba to get that item back. On top of all these events, the robot student council president, Labrys, wants to put an end to this tournament, giant battle-axe in tow. Playable Characters (Their stats are listed as Ease of Use, Persona Skill, Offense, Speed, Defense. Each character has 13 different alternate palette colors!, 8 at the start, and 6 more may be unlocked.) Yu Narukami - Known as the Sister Complex Kingpin of Steel (鋼のシスコン番長) in the trailers, he's a dude with silver hair and silver eyes, and is the Main Character of Persona 4. He uses two-handed swords, and his Arcana is The Fool. He came to Inaba because of his parents sending him off to various places, since their jobs are just so demanding, and together with the Investigation team, they solved the murder mystery of a mysterious fog killing people. He's known as a bancho among the fanbase because of both his and his Persona's appearance, and is the player character, so of course he wouldn't have too much personality, outside of The Animation. His Persona is Izanagi, known for having a rad codpiece and a large naginata, and uses Zio, or blue-colored electric magic. His apperance is based on Yu's status and appearance, having a "bancho"-esque appearance, and with how he's taller than everyone in the team outside of Kanji, it shows how he's a confident leader. His R Action's name is called Big Gamble, an electrified DP slash that also works in the air. His stats are 5/3/4/3/4. He has alternate colors that are based around the male Persona 3 Protagonist's outfit, Ragna the Bloodedge from BlazBlue, and Ky Kiske from Guilty Gear. Yosuke Hanamura - Known as Captain Ressentiment (キャプテンルサンチマン), this guy has some awesome headphones, and is a bit of a dick. He has a passion for using twin knives. His Arcana is The Magician. He's effectively the butt monkey of the cast, being the first time you meet him, he crashes himself into a trash can while ridin' on a bike, then he's kicked in the crotch less than an hour later... Yeah, hard times. The object of his affection, Saki Konishi, dies as a part of the mystery, which is where Teddie's nickname of Captain Ressentiment comes in. Add that to how he's considered the Prince of Junes (Think Japanese Wal-Mart), and you get a guy who wants to do good for people, but flops at it. His Persona is Jiraiya, a frog ninja that appears as if he were from the age of disco, and uses Garu, wind magic. This ninja's appearance, as stated above, is from how Yosuke wants to be a "hero", granting the appearance of what a child may envision as a superhero. His R Action is known as Dodge, where, if someone attacks him while he's taunting, he backs-up and trips them into a knockdown. His stats are 3/2/2/5/1. He has alts references Eikichi Mishina from Persona 2, Jin Kisaragi from BlazBlue, and also Chipp Zanuff from Guilty Gear. Chie Satonaka - The Carnivore Who Disguarded Womanhood (女を捨てだ肉食獣), she loves Bruce Lee, kung-fu movies, and eats a lot of steak. Also known for her kicking skills. Her Arcana is The Chariot. Being a tomboy, this girl loves her beef. And steak. And meats. Basically, her title says it all about her personality, where she isn't feminine, she's more energetic than most shounen protagonists. She's best friends with Yukiko, which even their Personas in-game symbolize their relationship - Chie protects Yukiko with her power, and Yukiko supports her, though Chie envied Yukiko's popularity among boys, which gets solved during the first dungeon of the game. Her Persona is Tomoe Gozen, a chick wearing Bruce Lee's Game of Death jumpsuit, and wields a bo staff. Her appearance is from Chie's love for kung fu movies. In the games, she uses a little ice magic, or Bufu, but in P4A, her full focus is all on Physical spells. Her R Action is High Counter, a move that surrounds her in glass-esque barrier like in the games. If the opponent hits her, she spins them into a knockdown, giving you the opportunity to combo. She can also perform in the air, though it blows them away instead. Her stats are 4/2/5/4/3. Among her alts, there is one referencing Yukari Takeba from Persona 3, Makoto Nanaya from BlazBlue, and Jam Kuradoberi from Guilty Gear. Yukiko Amagi - Called Unconquerable Snow Black (難攻不落の黒雪姫), this red-jacket wearing mistress is a rather soft-spoken individual, known for her beauty and polite manner, and uses Japanese fans as her weapon of choice. Her Arcana is The High Priestess. Often busy with the Amagi Inn, Yukiko's reserved, soft-spoken, intelligent, and rather kind to others, making her the symbol of feminine beauty among peers. However, she envies her best friend Chie's freedom, believing that she's forced into inheriting the inn. Later on, she grows from her introverted traits to a more livelier person with the Investigation Team, and also shows her laughing fits. Her Persona is Konohana Sakuya, a chick with red feathers all over her body. Her appearance stems from her affinity towards birds, being that her Shadow is a caged bird, and now her Persona is a free one. Unlike her nature, she uses Agi, fire magic. Her R Action is the other talent she's known for, Dia, which causes Konohana Sakuya to stand behind Yukiko, and together, they're surrounded by a pink aura. While the move's being charged, you recover HP, and it eats projectiles. Letting go of it makes a shockwave to push the opponent away! Her stats are 4/5/2/3/2. This princess of fire has alts resembling Chidori Yoshino from Persona 3, Carl Clover from BlazBlue, and Anji Mito from Guilty Gear. Kanji Tatsumi - This bad boy's named the Bloodcurlding Beefcake Emperor (戦慄のガチムチ皇帝), and as he claims, does not like men. He uses a chair in combat, and is quite the brash guy. His Arcana is the Emperor. The dude may look tough and rough, considering how he took out a biker gang, and how he skips from classes, but this 6' guy is actually only a freshman, and he fights for his ma. He's rather insecure for his tastes, enjoying making dolls and helping out with his mother's textile shop, and also enjoying the company of a slender young man, making him question his sexuality (Girls dislike him for liking cute things), but he has a lot of heart deep down. His Persona is Take-Mikazuchi, a giant black robot with skeletal designs on it, with its appearance based on how others consider him quite the tough and scary dude. His R Action is known as What a Pain!, in which he surrounds his body with electricity thanks to Take-Mikazuchi, making him a body of terrific macho death. His stats are 4/4/5/1/5. This guy's alts make references to Baofu from Persona 2, Iron Tager from Guilty Gear, and also Potemkin from Guilty Gear. Rise Kujikawa - She's a teen model who came to Inaba, first appearing in the game as a model for the Calorie Magic commercial. She cites she took a break from modeling for health and stress reasons, though deep down, it's more of the fact no one understands "the real her". Her Arcana is The Lovers, and like in the games, she isn't a playable character, rather, this cheery and naughty girl is the resident scanner for the team, analyzing enemies MUCH better than Teddie could do. Her Persona is Himiko, a maiden in a white dress, who not only has a satellite for a head, but also carries a visor for Rise to use for scanning. Its appearance is based on how, as an idol, she's a satellite for attention. In this game, however, Rise wears a pink headset, and acts as a commentator for the game, akin to Hype Girl from the Marvel Vs Capcom series. Teddie - A mysterious bear who makes all sorts of unbearable bear puns, and is called The Beast In Heat (色欲の猛獣). He can shape-shift his body to form all sorts of weaponry, not unlike the playable cast from Battletoads. His Arcana is The Star. He meets the Investigation Team when the trio go inside the TV for the first time, more that they accidentally went inside more than anything else. For a while, Teddie was suspicious of Yu and Yosuke, thinking THEY were the ones throwing people inside of the TV, and grows to trust the party later on, more to Yu though, considering how he refers to him as "Sensei". He also tries to be a flirt, talking about how he wants to score hot studs after seeing Yukiko's Shadow, and later on saves the team from Shadow Rise's attack, developing his own sense of self, a Shadow, and a Persona resulting from controlling his ego. Overall, he's easily impressionable, and does his best to make the team smile. ... Even if he can be a bit unbearable with his puns. His Persona is Kintoki-Douji, a red ball-shaped robot wearing a blue cape, and holds with it a Tomahawk missile. This boil oven robot's appearance comes from Teddie's love of puns, being that Kintoki-Douji is known for carrying a tomahawk, and this Persona carries a tomahawk missile. In the original game, he uses both Ice and Support magic. This lovely beast's R Action is called Teddie Decoy, substituting himself for a fake Teddie, and if this faker catcher catches an opponent's attack? He explodes! How devious of him. Not to strip him of any glory, this beary awesome bear's stats are 3 across the board. Teddie's alts include a Jack Frost color, Taokaka from BlazBlue, and of course Faust from Guilty Gear, as he tells you to go his way. Naoto Shirogane - Referred to as The 2000IQ Killjoy Detective (IQ2000のKY探偵), she's a blue-haired detective who has a snazzy hat, and bears a resemblance to the male protagonist of Persona 3 series. She wants to be make her family proud as a detective, and uses a revolver. Her Arcana is Wheel of Fortune. She's introduced in the game as a slender young man, trying to be the detective prince she always dreamed of, as to follow her family name. However, being a 5-foot tall freshman, she looks more like a kid than an actual detective, meeting the disrespect of the police. Her Persona matches with how she wears a "mask" to be respected, considering how her Persona also wears classic Japanese detective attire. Her Persona is Sukuna-Hikona, a short fairy boy stylized in the popular Masked Hero trend. In the original game, she uses Light (Hama), Dark (Mudo), and Almighty (Megido) magic. Her R Action is Shield of Justice, a light blue octagonal AT-field appears in front of her. If it's hit, it pushes the opponent away with her Counter Shot! Her stats are 2/4/2/4/2. Her alts include one based on Yukino Mayuzumi from Persona 2, Hazama from BlazBlue, and May from Guilty Gear. Aigis - Appearing from the Persona 3 series, this blonde-haired girl is actually a robot, made obvious from her tone of voice and mannerisms. She's called The Heartless Armed Angel (全身凶器の心なき天使) Her weapon is using all sorts of firearms, and her Arcana is The Fool, similar to Yu. She was created to fight shadows, though later on in the game, she develops emotions and feelings, stemming from the friendships she shares with the SEES crew. Her Persona is Pallas Athena, making Aigis the only character in the game so far with her Ultimate Persona. The Persona herself is a woman dressed in Greek armaments, and has a large ring shield surrounding her. Pallas Athena, like Aigis in general, is a complete reference to the Greek goddess Athena, with how Aigis protects the Persona 3 protagonist, and wields a shield into battle. In the games, Aigis used both Physical and Support spells. Her R Action Escape Change, as well as one of her specials, puts her in Orgia Mode, which allows her to fly around and shower the opponent in overheads and bullets. The limitation? Your Orgia gauge needs to be maxed to use this skill. She also has a counter for how many bullets you can fire, starting out with 120 shells. Her stats are 3/2/2/4/4. Her alts contain references to Metis from Persona 3: FES, Nu-13 from BlazBlue, and Justice from Guilty Gear. Mitsuru Kirijo - This Imperious Queen of Executions (孤高の処刑女王), like Aigis, is from the Persona 3 series, and is known for her calm demeanor, red hair, and her AI's obsession with using Marin Karin. No one likes that spell. Her Arcana is The Empress, and she wields long swords in combat. Similar to Yukiko, she's intelligent and rather calm, though Mitsuru retains a more motherly role to the SEES team by being quite mature, and being the student president of her class. She's the daughter of Takeharu Kirijo, head of the Kirijo Group, who are the ones responsible for quite the goings-on in Tatsumi Port Island. Her Persona is her ultimate one from the P3 series, Artemisia, a lady in armor who wields quite the deadly whip. Like with Akihiko's, her Persona is based on a historical figure, rather than someone divine. Its known for its ice spells. Similar to Akihiko below, she's our third ice-user. Her R Action is known as Getsu-Ei, where she jumps into the air and makes a crescent slice. Her stats are 4/3/2/3/3. Her alt colors include Maya Amano from Persona 2, Litchi Faye-Ling from BlazBlue, and Axl Low from Guilty Gear. Akihiko Sanada - Silver hair, grey eyes, and a love for boxing, this guy is one of the party members from Persona 3, and to add to that, he's one of the 3 cast members from P3 in this game, AND this game's third Zio user. Classy. In this game, his title is The Two-Fisted Protein Junkie (剛拳のプロテインジャンキー), and he uses boxing gloves in combat. His Arcana, like Kanji, is The Emperor (In Persona 3 Portable, his Social Link Arcana matches Teddie, both of them being under The Star). Determined to be the best boxer, girls at the school adore him for being a cool upperclassman, and guys respect his strength. He acts like the older brother to SEES, though his cool demeanor comes with a small story, - His relationship with Shinjiro Aragaki, a dude who's rather rough with everyone else, and yet Akihiko cares for him, since they ARE best friends and all. SEES is filled with a lot of spoilery backstory. His Persona is his ultimate one from the games, Caesar, the famed ruler. This guy carries the whole world in his hands, has a long sword, and a neat crown. Like with Mitsuru, his Persona's a historical figure. Its known for its electric magic and physical spells. His R Action is Double Uppercut, a right-handed uppercut that can work as an anti-air move, but lacks good range. His stats are 2/1/4/4/4. His alt colors include Takaya Sakaki from Persona 3, Bang Shishigami from BlazBlue, and Slayer from Guilty Gear. Labrys: A mysterious robot girl who wears a white variant of the Yasogami High outfit, she uses a giant battle axe, has silver hair and red eyes, and is our original character directors of the game have been hinting at! Her title is Yasogami's Steel Council President (八高・鋼鉄の生徒会長), and she wants to put an end to the P-1 Tournament, carrying a huge battle-axe to support her in her goals. Her Shadow is posing as Comissioner Teddie, and the player character needs to defeat her Shadow in order to give her her Persona, similar to Persona 4. Her desire to be a class president and have a normal life is the source of all this mess. Her Arcana is Wheel of Fortune, which is the same Arcana as Naoto. Her Persona is Ariadne, the daughter of Helios, and is also a play on Labrys' name, which Ariadne was known to be a lover of mazes and labyrinths. She wears a white dress and is adorn in Greek armaments, having a color scheme similar to our robo-president. Her alts include one based on Lambda-11 from BlazBlue, one for Baiken from Guilty Gear, and one reminiscent of Asuka Langley Shouryuu from Evangelion. Above her SP gauge is her Axe Gauge, which charges over time from using her axe in combos and such. It starts off gray, then blue, green, yellow, and, the highest is red. The higher level the gauge is, the more damage her attacks will do. When she reaches level 5, her attacks can dish out incredible amounts of damage! However, when she isn't attacking, the gauge will go down, so be offensive! Also, Ariadne's C moves can help with pinning the opponent down, with how she fires lasers around. Said lasers also drag the opponent into you on hit, allowing you to axe them in the face. Elizabeth: White hair, yellow eyes, and has both a cheery and curious personality, this young lady is the middle child of denizens who live within the Velvet Room realms with Igor. She first appears in Persona 3, and with how the Velvet Room in that game was an elevator, she dresses as an elevator stewardess. She also carries with her the Persona Compendium, filled with various Persona cards. Her title for this game is The Ultimate Elevator Attendant (最凶のエレベーターガール). In this game, her Arcana is Death, though that's from the Persona she's wielding in this game. In Persona 4, it is revealed she left her duties of the Velvet Room to tend to the protagonist of Persona 3, who's being used as a seal to protect Nyx from Erebus. While she may have the ability to use any sort of Persona she wishes, in this game, she uses Thanatos, son of Nyx, and the harbinger of peaceful death in Greek mythology. Being a cloaked man with a skull helmet and coffins around it like a cape, in the games, it was the Ultimate Persona of the Death Arcana, thereby being of the best in the game to clear trash Shadows with how it inherits Alice's Die For Me! spell. Elizabeth's R Action is called Shuffle Time, where she grabs the opponent, throws 'em into her book, then drops them out as a Major Arcana, where it breaks itself and inflicts a status effect! Combined with the fact that Elizabeth gains SP while standing around, and the fact her spells are Ma-dyne elemental spells, she may be a formidable opponent, despite her speed. Her alt colors reference Relius Clover from BlazBlue, and Dizzy from Guilty Gear. Shadow Labrys: Main villain of the game, masquerading herself as Commissioner Teddie, she set up the TV World to be Labrys' own dungeon to face her in. Her title is Raging Bull of Destruction (皆殺しの猛牛総統) and, despite being a Shadow, she has a Persona in tow, and is definitely a vicious opponent! Her Persona is Asterius of the Wheel of Fortune Arcana, a demonic shadowy beast that attacks with Shadow Labrys simutanelously. New to Ultimax Yukari Takeba: From Persona 3, Yukari is now a model playing the role of Pink Argus in the popular TV show, Phoenix Ranger Featherman R. Her title is Flashy Pink Sniper, due to her use of a bow in battle. She relates to the protagonist of P3 due to the both of them having similar parental issues, and later on warms up to Mitsuru as a friend, in spite of Mitsuru's family being the reason why Yukari's father is deceased. Her Persona Isis is known for its Wind and Healing magic, and for also being a maiden inside a cowhead. Junpei Iori: Known as the Counterattack’s Total Slacker, he's the goofball of the SEES crew, though he does mature over the course of the game due to some circumstances of his love interest. He's also a large fan of baseball, which makes his new job of baseball coach to be of no surprise to anyone. His Persona, Trismegistus, is all about Fire magic and Physical spells. In the games it also has the special skill Spring of Life, healing him every turn. This does not make any appearance in P4A2 however. Sho Minazuki: Not much is known about this redhead, other than he uses twin swords. It uses the ABCD button layout, uses a meter system with its max at 100 (EXCEPT for a special condition), and the Burst mechanic, which uses ABD to execute. There's three types of Bursts: - A normal burst which simply knocks opponents away when used in hitstun or blockstun. - "Red" bursts which activates while you're in any sort of neutral state (not being attacked or in block stun) which fills up your SP to max when used (just like Guilty Gear's Gold Burst). - "One More" burst which is done when attacking to cancel your attack into a burst that acts similar to BlazBlue's mid-combo gold burst. This burst knocks the opponent upwards and adds a bit of positive frame advantage. There are also EX moves which take 25 SP to use (Known as Skill Boosts), and Guard Cancel Attacks, which are performed with Forward A + B and uses 50 SP to use. This technique carries with it invincibility frames, and attacks the opponent to break you out of guard. There are also R Actions, which are unique techniques each character may perform for their red life, and a Roman Cancel system called a One More! Cancel (A + B + C, Uses 50 SP). A and B are Weak and Strong Attack respectively, while C and D are known as Persona Attack and Persona Rush. A + C gives you the Air Turn, which allows you to turn around in mid-air. On the ground, this combination gives you the Quick Escape, hopping you away from your opponent's combos. A + B gives you the Beatdown Rush, an overhead that can either launch your opponent into the air with C, or away from you with D. This game refers to its magic series as P Combos, which go from A --> B --> C, and you can rapid-fire A moves. The Persona system is similar of that to the Stand system in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure fighter - There are 4 Tarot cards under your life bar (Originally a 4-bar gauge), which shows how much health your Persona has. If your opponent is using their Persona too much, you can punish it by hitting it while it's out, and once their cards are all gone, they go into Persona Break, where they temporally cannot use their Persona at all! P4A's comeback mechanic is the Awakening System. When your character's low on life, this ability is automatically activated, noted by the character's eyecatch, and turns your SP gauge's cap to 150, and you gain 50 SP just from activation! You also gain a defense boost, and is the time where you can also use your Awakening Super, which uses 50 SP to perform. There are also insta-kill moves in the game called Mortal Blows, like with BlazBlue and Guilty Gear, which take 100 SP to use, and can only be performed on Match Point. The combination for this attack is 3x Down + C and D, and is just a flashy way to finish your opponent. Customization-wise, you can change your characters' color presets, have them wear glasses, as with the gimmick of Persona 4 originally was with the Midnight Channel. In the case with Teddie and the Persona 3 cast, Teddie dons a mask, Mitsuru wears a pair of red shades, Ahihiko wears a pair of orange goggles, and Aigis lets her visor down. You may also turn off Rise's commentary during matches, and replace her commentary with the default announcer of the game (Fumihiko Tachiki, known for voicing Kenpachi Zaraki from Bleach), or Margaret from Persona 4. The game in English as well supports dual-audio from Japanese and English voicing. Of course Aigis shows up again. She is so terrible, and so popular in Japan.

Yeah I really don't know why they bothered with Aigis outside of her being some robot fanservice character. If they wanted other SMT characters in the game, they should have just made Megaten Fighter. Then at least we'd get Raidou Kuzunoha fighting Jack Frost or something else that's cooler than robot chick. Maybe one of the two remaining unknown characters is a P3 character? Minato could be a cool Ken/Ryu deal with Yu Narukami.

So my friend told me that the true ending to persona 4 was in March 2012 so thus the timing of the release to this game (Summer 2012) coincides with the story as well

Jack Frost with a Black Frost Raoh mode, now you're hosed hee-ho I'd kill to get Raidou in here too but I figure there's no way he or any other character outside of P3/P4 can make it into the initial release, maybe if I strongarm enough people into buying every version of this game Aksys will run out of better-known characters to jam into the roster

Don't mean to poo poo on you because the game deserves a thread and has a good OP but there's not much info out on the game right now and there won't be more any time soon? What I'm trying to say is this is a real early thread with almost no gameplay mechanics actually listed for characters or anything like that, so what's there to talk about?

Only thing is, considering my lack of Japanese, I can't post the information from the Japanese site, rather, I'm more dependent on news I get from Shoryuken and the like.

Yeah, there's really not a lot to say about the game at this point. The most we know is "Oh hey, there's punching and some spirits that fight with you like JoJo." But whatever, I've got Naoto and Chie, all I need is Adachi to sweeten the pot.

They could make a fighting game equivilent to his apperance in Digital Devil Saga. Super move? GAEA RAGE Burst? GAEA RAGE Any kind of defense that isn't standard blocking or dodging? GAEA RAGE

Here's another pretty cool screenshot of the last unseen P4 cast member, Naoto, shooting Chie in the head. What's the number beneath her persona bar? I'm guessing it's something to do with Naoto's mudo/hama stuff since it looks like a skull

Probably too detailed to put in the op, but we also know so far that the game has BlazBlue style throws (~8F startup, ~13F break window) and Fatal Counter (certain moves on counterhit cause +2F hitstun for the entire duration of the combo).

All I know is that I won't be satisfied unless the final two announced characters are some combination of dojima, adachi, nanako or funky student

I think I will either be maining Kanji, because folding chairs are awesome, or Young Detective ft. "Ace Detective" Dojima. I'm also hoping for Shinji from P3 though, since he was a badass.

So what are the chances of this getting localized with the English voice actors? I like the idea of a P4 fighting game, but I don't know how excited I can get if I can't hear Kanji yell "Get bent!" while smashing a guy with a folding chair.

Pretty good I'd say since they'll probably be getting them back together for P4G anyway.

Crossing my fingers for Maya, Tatsuya, and Yukari to be added as additional characters. poo poo, add in Maki Sonomura too. There's a lot of potential for P1/P2/P3 characters to be added.
