Not sure if you are looking just for higher level stuff or just basics and technology. Youtube has some episodes of Modern Marvels relevant to the subject. Here's one on diamond mining: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWLhiUAXBeE

And if you do a search there on "Modern Marvels mining", there's some more stuff.

That Party Monster documentary was fascinating. What a weird world to be part of.

The Wrestler: The Scott Hall Story. Short 20 minute video from ESPN about wrestler Scott Hall, and how he was really big until drugs and alcohol got him. Seeing him roll around on the ring with no idea where he is is funny and sad at the same time :(.

The worst part about about watching such a documentary is that you would automatically assume that this material is the touchpaper for a worldwide investigation. Then you realise that it was years ago and ffffffff

Thinking about the big exposé stuff about illegal immigrants, injuries, genetically modified livestock, failed inspections, foodborne illness outbreaks, etc.

Seriously though, I have to warn you there isn't a NMS big enough, it shows graphic footage of what can only be described as animal torture. If you can bear with it though its a powerful story about the meat industry in the developing world.

It certainly fits the expose requirement as live export to Indonesia was banned after this program aired on Australian national television.

Fiery the angels fell. Deep thunder rolled around their shoulders... burning with the fires of Orc.

quote:

David Attenborough travels to the end of the earth, taking viewers on an extraordinary journey across the polar regions of our planet, North and South. The Arctic and Antarctic are the greatest and least known wildernesses of all - magical ice worlds inhabited by the most bizarre and hardy creatures on earth.

Our journey begins with David at the North Pole, as the sun returns after six months of darkness. We follow a pair of courting polar bears, which reveal a surprisingly tender side. Next stop is the giant Greenland ice cap, where waterfalls plunge into the heart of the ice and a colossal iceberg carves into the sea. Humpback whales join the largest gathering of seabirds on earth to feast in rich Alaskan waters. Further south, the tree line marks the start of the Taiga forest, containing one third of all trees on earth. Here, 25 of the world's largest wolves take on formidable bison prey.

At the other end of our planet, the Antarctic begins in the Southern Ocean where surfing penguins struggle to escape a hungry sea-lion and teams of orcas create giant waves to wash seals from ice floes -a filming first. Diving below the ice, we discover prehistoric giants, including terrifying sea spiders and woodlice the size of dinner plates. Above ground, crystal caverns ring the summit of Erebus, the most southerly volcano on earth. From here we retrace the routes of early explorers across the formidable Antarctic ice-cap - the largest expanse of ice on our planet. Finally, we rejoin David at the South Pole, exactly one hundred years after Amundsen then Scott were the first humans to stand there.

One of the best nature documentaries I've ever seen. From the hilarity of a Sea Lion chasing a penguin haplessly across land to the chilling Killer Whales hunting down a Weddell's Seal, you will find the battle for life and death is as hotly contested as the ice is coldly impassive.

Columbine Documentary with newly released audio
Neil Mcroy was able to secure the previously unreleased Columbine audio and video footage over 12 years after the attacks at Columbine High School in 1999. Immediately following the tragedy, Jefferson County secured and refused to release additional videos and audio relating to the attacks for a period of 11 years. The basement tapes were also secured by Jefferson County but the release date is not until 2023. This is the introduction to his new documentary series with never before seen audio and video of the Columbine school shooting. Currently only the introduction is available online and the rest is (I believe) being released episodically on Neil's website. Definitely chilling, with enough "normal" teenager moments during the height of the massacre to make it quite disturbing. Watch at your own risk.

Holy poo poo what the gently caress is wrong with me. I was in high school when Columbine went down and it's possible I didn't really read up on it or pay much attention other than to know it was a tragedy, many died, many injured. Of course Dylan and the other one were bullied and made to feel like Others, and nobody's parents saw anything coming.

Okay. So I wasn't a huge oval office, I wasn't saying at any point that everyone deserved to be shot because these poor boys had their feelings hurt, nor was I thinking these two boys were completely with it and totally normal with no reasons to be upset at anyone for anything. But I was feeling...maybe a little cold about it. I don't think I was really touched by the Columbine shootings in a way that made me feel much of anything. The way I felt was that these two kids were bullied and were most certainly awful people, but they were lashing out after torment and wanted revenge. It's sad and upsetting but I guess I thought I could see why they did it.

Now not even two full minutes into watching this, it's hearing (whoever was speaking,) "Die, bitch," that made me...not fearful, but certainly chilled at what an awful loving breakdown that whole disaster was. I guess before I thought of course it's awful, but they were bullied and some people just snap. That happens. Now, my hair stands on end and I wonder what was wrong with me. How strange just those two words could change my whole view.

You should read the book Columbine by Dave Cullen. The narrative of them being loners that were bullied until they were snapped and then went on a shooting spree against the jocks that bullied them is almost a complete fabrication.
