I don't think someone is just going to roll up with $250k cash and ask no questions.

Exotic cars come up on craigslist all the time, everything from Veyrons to Dusenburgs. I am not sure why people keep bringing this up. People attempt to sell them on CL for a very good reason: You can ask whatever you like and you get charged no fees. Barrett-Jackson will charge you to list your vehicle in addition to (I think) 10% sellers premium.
People who can afford cars like that didn't get there buy giving their money away.

What's the deal with 500 being the magic number for horsepower anyway? Nothing from the 70's came even close to 500, they were lucky to break 200hp with a 500ci engine. Also, these are the ugliest of Camaros and are going up in price just like the Mustang II. Strange times in the classic car scene.

And an 'invested' search for good measure:

Impala SS 1996 24" Asanti - $22000

Or you could pay $15k for an '82 Buick that isn't a T-Type.

82 BUICK RIVIERA CONVERTIBLE - $15500

And finally, a 944 with all the ding dongs removed and rubbers replaced. Also, very bad pictures.

1987 porsche 944 - $9500

Oh wait, this guy wants to trade his '99 Tahoe for some land. And I thought murdering out a car meant painting an old car primer black, not taking a stock late model Tahoe, putting black light covers on, lifting it, and keeping the tan interior.

On the other hand, what's the likelyhood of getting a serious buyer for something like this through CL? The ratio of tire-kickers to real buyers has got to be 100:1. Not to mention the extreme danger of getting scammed or perhaps even robbed when it comes to the actual money transaction. That's why brokers of high-priced items (cars, homes, general auction houses) are expensive but necessary in some cases. They bring security and trustworthyness for both parties, plus advertisement and an audience for the item.

I'm calling bullshit on a Veyron ever actually being sold through Craigslist, by a private seller.

Why is this gold? Its a typical issue, they are in fact good trucks (they just eat head gaskets, and it sounds like this one was driven around hot), and this is an appropriate price, if not a bit high for one that needs a motor. Nothing out of line, and no spectacular deal to be had.

I did read the text, and you apparently have no idea what you are talking about. Sorry.

$500 is the SCRAP VALUE of an SUV of that size. If it is in fact as described, it's worth $3000-3500 with a working motor. Which you can get from a salvage yard for under $1000.

One could literally make money repairing this truck and selling it, or have it repaired for less than it's fair market value (including purchase price) even if you did pay the guy the full $1500.

Again, what is the problem here? Sure, everyone would like to buy things like that for $500. But that's not realistic from an educated seller.

Invest $5,000. in FIBERGLASS and PAINT and you have a $30,000.+ MACHINE!!!

This 2008 Thoroughbred Stallion Trike was involved in an accident but all mechanical repairs have been made and inspected and all it needs now is a face lift.
A new windshield has been purchased and awaits the body-man!
Underneath the stunning body work, is a Ford 2.3 ltr., 4-cylinder engine w/150 hp and because it is much lighter than a car, it can go incredibly fast! (to say the least!!!)

There are no HANDLE BARS... just a STEERING WHEEL!!! so forget about all the controls you normally have on a motorcycle!!
The column has a place for windshield wiper controls like in a car.... but no wipers are needed and it is modeled just right, so you will have no trouble seeing out the tall, wrap-around, jet-like windshield.
It is so easy to drive the Stallion and it handles & controls much like a sports car!!
The brake pedal controls all the brakes and there is no clutch shifting.

There are two switches that have to be used before you start off.
First, the air pressure control to set the Air Lift suspension to match your load in the Stallion.
Second, the other switch controls the brake and accelerator distance away from your feet.
It has power disc brakes and amazingly, YOU decide where you want your feet to touch on the pedals!!!
You just push the control until the pedals move the right distance!!
So adjust your pedals, check your side view mirrors, put it in Drive ….and GO!!!

ACCESSORIES INCLUDE
A/ C SYSTEM $3,895.00
BACK REST ASSY $295.00
CRUISE CONTROL ASSY $395.00
ADJUSTABLE PEDALS $425.00
TRUNK CARPET $150.00
TRAILER HITCH ASSY $175.00
FOG LAMP ASSY $250.00

All the running gear is Ford but the body frame and suspension is Thoroughbred designed, engineered, and manufactured.
It looks like a sports car convertible but in reality, it is a more Sophisticated Motorcycle Trike.

Since it has three wheels, it's classified as a motorcycle and this MOTORCYCLE has over $7,000. in available accessories which include among other things, cruise control, A/C, adjustable pedals, climate cover, etc... !!!
This vehicle has heat & A/C for both rider and passenger!!
For everyone who knows...the prospect of having heat & A/C is an unbelievable selling point!!
When it’s hard to tolerate the heat on hot summer days, or the chill of the evenings twilight, the Thoroughbred Stallion rides to the rescue for both driver and passenger!!
The trunk capacity is 7 cubic feet, (approx. half of a 2005 Honda Accord 4-door.)
The fuel cell holds 9.5 U.S. gallons.
The EPA mileage rating is 35 MPG City / 45 MPG Highway.
This Stallion Trike has power steering and the “stock” engine rumble is greater than the stock Honda Gold Wing Motor Trike.

This particular Stallion listed for over $3o,ooo.oo plus the $7,000.00 in extras offered and purchased on this machine.
That's comparable to buying a Honda Gold Wing 1800 for $22,000-24,000. and having it converted to a trike for an additional $10,000.

This trike appeals to all who love to travel in comfort and still have the wind in your hair.
It’s also for those who don't ride motorcycles for reasons of health, strength, fatigue, balance, age or even if your frame is too small or weakened to be comfortable handling a motorcycle!
There are many reasons to ride a Stallion Trike...
JUST find ONE and RIDE!!!

Licensing requirements vary depending on where you live and because it is over the required weight of a motorcycle, helmets are not required...though always “ADVISED”.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL ANY TIME
I do like how since it was "worth" $30K new 4 years ago, and it's now been rolled/damaged and "only" needs $5K worth of work from the body-man so $20K in total truly makes it an amazing deal.
