Nobody has a problem with antagonizing colour commentators, but Michael Cole is the PBP man. Their main job is to call the action and promote the product. Cole does neither, or at least does neither well.

Oatgan posted:I believe he did that earlier this year with New Nexus. Well, I was thinking more of a future deal - like when Punk decides to stop actively wrestling, like Heenan did. Sure, Brain still took bumps once in a while but for the most part, he was a manager/broadcast journalist during his WWF tenure. Punk did well with Nexus and sort of with SES but I'd rather see it toned down a bit, where he can speak for guys that aren't comfortable on the mic, and strictly take on a management role with a variety of guys. He's definitely got a quick wit and knows how to say and do things when it comes to promos and putting guys over.

Kevin Nash. I'd say Punk is kind of in the Mr. Perfect role in the WWE but with a better push.

Regal will always be king. Even if he did have to reduce himself to mostly smacking the guy around, it's cool he still gets to do matches once in a while.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDwek1By20o&feature=youtu.be CM Punk has things to say about wrestling to Sam from the Board op and Racist show. Biggest scoop, they had memos saying never to use CM Punk. He was brought in to gently caress up and be fired. Bring this up every time someone argues about the WWE ever being smart or "wait and see".

Chyna YouShoot? Oh no. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjsJCE1V1MI One of the most tragic thing about wrestlers is that they get addicted to attention. I think shoot interview companies enable that habit. I know they're only trying to let people like her earn some money, but it doesn't look good, and it's not good for her either. Having said that, I could watch Jim Cornette talk for hours.

He seems like a genuinely good guy (provided you don't piss him off, but that can go for anyone) and he never seems to have issue helping guys and putting them over. I remember seeing one of the recent NXT shows where Bryan Danielson was wrestling and Regal was on commentary, and Bryan used the Regal Stretch as his finisher and gave a nod to Regal after the match. First thing I thought was "if Bryan goes heel, they should have Regal be his manager, it would make so much sense with their history". I honestly hope it happens and we get Regal and Danielson being badass heels on the mic and just tearing people apart with brutal submissions.
