Wrist Watch posted:Really? I just read through the whole thing and it was pretty interesting to see how they got hooked. The beginning read to me like someone coming into Homestuck with the wrong impression, thinking like the people who swear to never read Twilight because they think it's loving retarded and "it's just loving sparkly vampires what else would I ever want to know". Except you know, what most people hear about homestuck are all the in-jokes which is what turns them off and unlike Twilight there's usually more to it than what you can hear in passing. Kind of interesting to read I agree, but her jokes are hideously stupidly hideously awful, is what I would say. They're like the textbook example of someone who has image macros instead of a sense of humour.

Don't think of that blog as a source of comedy. Think of it as a peek into the inner workings of a cocooning and gestating Homestuck fan.

I'm all but certain that hussie's mentioned that drawing and hero mode and stuff is FASTER for him. It probably has more to do with him not doing batch updates like we've been used to for scratch's segment.

I think Andrew has also said that creating new sprites take longer than just drawing a hero mode panel, but he already created Jane's sprite so Supercar is still right.

Hussie explains the site's font shift. Apparently that's how it was always supposed to be. It's automatically anti-alised for me since I'm on a Mac, is it possible to turn that off or is it like Hussie says? Not that I'm not in love with super-smooth text regardless.

Browser issues! Top is Hussie's reference rendering. Next is how the site actually renders for me in Google Chrome (Windows 7, ClearType tuned to my satisfaction). Third down is Photoshop to Hussie's specs (Courier New Bold 14 pt, antialiasing set to "none") - almost but not quite pixel-perfect. Final is a quick and dirty attempt to replicate Chrome's rendering in Photoshop: Courier New regular 14 pt, antialising "strong", character width 96% (antialiasing stretches characters a bit). E: character height should be squashed to 96% as well to get even closer. Guess I've got font problems! Leave it to Andrew Hussie to get me thinking about CSS and how far layout management has come in webpages, yet how far it has to go. You are supposed to overtly be pondering this in your head. It's ambiguous. That's the point, I think. I think if there are trolls present in this world, it'll be the case less that they use their frog to create a new session, and more that they use their God Tier powers to prevent the world from being annihilated at all. Since a planet with Trolls and humans both living up ins would be kind of an ideal for both universe's survivor's. Zorak fucked around with this message at 03:59 on Nov 13, 2011 |

To her this obviously meant land and seadwellers and to the reader it obviously meant humans and trolls. At this point it could just mean something to do with setting up the dream bubbles where the humans and trolls meet, but it could be that Feferi became Betty Crocker in this timeline and united the two races here. I don't even know what to think, the beginning of Act 6 is raising more questions than EOA5 and Intermission 2 answered. It's a whole new universe of possibilities! I love it.
