ts12 posted:First President to quote:The Area Number, the first three digits, is assigned by the geographical region. Prior to 1973, cards were issued in local Social Security offices around the country and the Area Number represented the office code in which the card was issued. This did not necessarily have to be in the area where the applicant lived, since a person could apply for their card in any Social Security office. Since 1973, when SSA began assigning SSNs and issuing cards centrally from Baltimore, the area number assigned has been based on the ZIP code in the mailing address provided on the application for the original Social Security card. The applicant's mailing address does not have to be the same as their place of residence. Thus, the Area Number does not necessarily represent the State of residence of the applicant, neither prior to 1973, nor since.

Quick question, more appropriate here than anywhere else - What's it called when people get really, really close to having a breakthrough and realizing something important but then stepping back from the ledge at the last second and returning to their safe worldview? Like when they put together all the things #ows is mad about, agree with them, but then don't connect that it affects them, too?

Other leaders will occassionally wear one at conferences and stuff, you'll see them now and then. It's nothing like it is in the US where its like some sort of badge of office. Gaddafi used to wear those giant africa pins and staple photos to his chest, so I guess flag-pinners are keeping good company!

Hormones own.ts12 posted:The description in the email is actually accurate, Stephen Thorne is the highest ranking transgender policeman in the country. It just makes so much sense.

Unbelievable. So that they'll be voted into office again, where they can give people things with no strings attached. It all leads up to a gritty dystopia where people are all given things with no strings attached, just like 1984. quote:He did not threaten to stop (nonexistant) payments to illegal aliens Kosmonaut fucked around with this message at 23:43 on Nov 15, 2011 |
