Got my blu-ray of Pulp Fiction Pretty good, but I do have some minor complaints. Yes it has a little bit of edge enhancement. There's some jitter in the opening titlecard. The camera wobbles a lot more than I ever knew (especially in the opening restaurant scene), but maybe that's because I'd only seen it on home video VHS/DVD before. Still, pretty good. edit: boy, you can count every pore on Samuel Jackson and John Travolta's faces in the closeups. Those shots are so uncomfortably close. Bridget Fonda's skin looks like the surface of Mars. I finally understand the comments made about her character's appearance within the film. It's something I never noticed in the DVD. Pam Grier still looks great though. Doughbaron fucked around with this message at 07:44 on Nov 17, 2011 |

Egbert Souse posted:I have all of the Golden Collection sets and I'm not hesitant to upgrade. While I wish they had gone for more cartoons and a more eclectic selection, it's not so bad. The first DVD set was heavy on Chuck Jones shorts, had only 56 shorts, and nothing in B&W. The 6th volume had almost 75 and had a whole disc devoted to the early 1930-1933 shorts. So, I think it's important to support this release warts and all. Plus, the remasters seem to be awesome - some of the earlier color cartoons (mostly 1936-1946 for some reason) had a lot of pixelation due to film grain. Appreciate the feedback. I don't so much mind the double-dip on a single film but a 6-volume boxset seems to sting a bit more. I do agree that the support of this may be most important in order to see more Volumes down the line. Besides at the end of the day - I wanna see these things in HD.
