I really liked JNR in GTA IV. There's something awesome about shooting a dude in the face while listening to Miles Davis. I also just enjoyed driving around the parks while listening to "April in Paris."

Just one question, though. Is there a way to take off my pants?
I still listen to the GTA2 radio. That's right, GTA2. Specifically, Head Radio with Phanny Joe Styles. You can find the full 25 minute track on YouTube. I'm surprised they included such a full station in GTA2, with DJ bumps and commercials.

Other than that, flying a Hydra around in SA while listening to "Running Down a Dream" is pretty boss.

Actually, thinking about it I did have awesome GTA IV moment, listening to Iron Maiden Run To The Hills doing biker against biker combat on the freeway in TLaD.

Shotgunning those Angels off their bikes was pretty fun.

Note that it's TLaD that brings up cool memories, not vanilla GTA4.

I really need to try those expansions. I remember more of the music from the TV advert to Gay Tony than I do from vanilla GTA4.

My favorite GTA3 song was "Change". It's by a band called "Conor and Jay", the Jay being Julie, the vocalist, and Conor being Craig Conner, the guy who produced all the GTA soundtracks. So, uh, nepotism or something.

You can download the full version of it (and their song from LCS) here:

Hell yeah I've still got the GTA2 wav files somewhere on my computer. I mean I wouldn't listen to it if it weren't just nostalgic and reminded me of gta2, which I still play on a LAN with a friend now and then.

I think everyone saying Vice City had the best soundtrack is probably right just because it fit the era so well and enhanced the story, but San Andreas remains my favorite for a bunch of hits I love, but mainly KDST and the Tom Petty song you mentioned.

Because of all this I was trying to find one of the GTA3 songs on youtube earlier because all I remembered was the beat and a woman singing about drugs. Turns out it was Rush Rush by Debbie Harry.

I don't know how often this comes up but did any fix, official or otherwise, come out for the broken mouse sensitivity in Vice City?
The program that claims to fix it only crashes my game, and some searching tells me this is either because the fi only worked on XP, or it doesn't work on the steam version of the game.
Sooo.. 9 years in and still broken?

This song is the greatest and needs a new remix now it doesn't have to be compressed to hell and back.

I used to feel so cool hopping into the Dodge Viper knockoff in GTA and haring off to get away from the police with this song booming out.

As technically better in every aspect as the GTA games get, they can never capture just how :aaaaa: the original was to me.

This song will always be in my mind everytime I play GTA. GTA 2 was the first GTA game that I played, and that song has stuck with me since then.

The Liberty City Stories theme was also awesome. It would fit GTA IV better though, or at least a more serious and dark game.

Seriously, I don't think there was a single bad theme in the entire series. Joyride was the GTA 1 theme and it was awesome too. I think that was the theme for the entire series, actually. I would love a new version for the modern era games.

Is it too off-topic to throw Bully 2 speculation in here? Because that's what I'm going to do. It's actually kind of a bummer. There was a leak from Shawn Lee, the original game's composer, two years ago, saying that he would be doing Bully 2 shortly. This recent interview sadly makes it sound like any movement on a sequel will only be discussed now that Max Payne 3 is done with.

I think it'd be a lot of fun to see a Bully game with Jimmy on an Ivy-League college campus (Bullworth University?) They could use fraternities and sororities in lieu of gangs, the dorm room could be your safehouse (later on you could move to an apartment off-campus.)

I have it under good authority that Bully 2 was being developed a few years back at one of the tertiary rockstar studios only to be canceled. So I guess that means they'll be starting over again!

I bought it years ago when the game came out, and recently ripped into iTunes, and stripped out the talking, the Spanish station and the ads. What's leftover is a fantastic list of tunes, all of which are belters. It's pretty much all I play while driving now.

Also, we liked the original GTA theme tune so much, my first band covered it, and the crowds loved it. I've got a lovely recording somewhere but I don't know if I've got the balls to post it.
