Oh well, nothing offends me as much as Siegfried and Spartacus. ANYWAY, on a far happier note, the Ilya's Castle special is out, and it's pretty hilarious.

I feel like arturia kinda works with the mythos a little bit and adds some thought to it but all the other gender swaps just seem like there doing it for no reason. edit: I mean like arthur and his wife having a political and possibly loveless relationship due to saber keeping up the appearance of being a man. If we're going to be honest, though, the canonical ending was Fate True End, much like how Tsukihime's canonical ending should have been Arcuied True End. Main heroines get the guy at the end, even though both Nasu VNs have had the main heroines be possibly the worst people to get into a relationship.

It's technically set in the Heaven's Feel True Ending, which is generally speaking accepted as the canon ending, though there's not really anything official that references what happens afterwards so it doesn't really matter. But because of the details of HA's setting, it mixes in bits from all three routes, much like Kagetsu Tohya did for Tsukihime. Though that was before they added the bit at the end of Realta Nua that definitely seems to follow the Fate ending. Who knows or cares at this point. As for Tsukihime, Nasu has actually mentioned that the Satsuki route's normal end, which wasn't even in the game, is the canon route that Melty Blood and Kagetsu Tohya are set in. And it's really just a harem route where all the major events from the other routes all coexist and status quo is kept at the end. Who knows maybe it will be in the long-awaited Tsukihime remake they're doing.

Zouken still being alive in Fate and UBW doesn't really matter very much since Rin and Waver destroy the Greater Grail later anyway, which pretty much rightly skullfucks any plans he might have had.
