That video avoids using blended shots. He uses linear shots specifically, because the blend function is a piece of poo poo and he knows it. The rare time he does use blend, though, it is jerky as per the norm. This happens in the first 3 minutes, and specifically again at 5:05 and 5:43. The guy who made that video awesome and even he can't get smooth shots with blend. Thus confirming my suspicion that loving nobody can get smooth video out of that buggy-rear end function.

If you don't have any mods installed, it looks like you're just really, really unlucky.

Besides, whether it was their first time or not is irrelevant. I suggested that the function was broken, people disagreed. I asked for proof, and picked what proof you tried to present apart. Now, your opinion seems to have changed. I would love to hear what you think they were going for with the blend function if not smooth, complex shots.

I only have the console version of SA so I don't know what this entails, but you could try actually installing a mod and seeing if that fixes it and then uninstalling the mod and seeing if that also fixes it, since (from what I remember) so many people who fixed the problem reported that it was fixed by uninstalling mods. Alternatively, try reinstalling the game? I dunno, I'm having trouble remembering.

I remember spending so much time with the blend function just trying to wrestle it into looking decent and I don't think I was ever satisfied with it, there were even times where the camera would flip the gently caress out and spin around like a retard when it just had to look at few inches in either direction. I loved the GTA replay editor, but even SR3's not-fully-implemented recording feature that had to be modded back in has a much smarter blend feature.

This just reminded me what a huge disappointment Hot Coffee was. Once the news broke and everyone was flipping their poo poo about how there's depraved sex in a video game I was like okay, I'll try it. I thought maybe it was some alternate gameworld minigame with higher polygon/texture characters or something, but it was literally just the normal low res game characters jumping on a bed, in their clothes. It was the least aroused I've been by a video game since Congo Bongo on the Colecovision.

If there's one change I really really want for GTA V it's clothing options that change instantly. I want to scroll through a list of options and have it instantly change the look of the character, which I can then select if I like it. Having to wait 5 seconds or more just to see how an option looks is awful. Please Rockstar, use this from the Saints Row series. I don't care if there's not that many options, just don't make changing clothes take 5 minutes.

So on GTA4 for PC, I can watch a replay of the last bit of action with a free camera? Slow motion? Freely rewindable? Jesus, that was loads of fun rewatching multiplayer games with friends on Halo, mowing people down on GTA and watching them fly in slow motion will never get old. Just Cause 2 was nearly there, but you couldn't move the camera freely, infuriating if something awesome happened off-camera.

On the other hand, the gunplay probably won't be any worse than it already was... I've never seen the appeal of mini games. (not including casual games as they're built for small devices) Boy, I sure am enjoying my game on my tiny screen. Normally I'll extrapolate my opinions and think of the good and bad, but, GTA3 on an iPhone, with awful controls, how are you meant to shoot, imagine doing drive bys..I...I...I don't even. Stick to Angry Birds and fatbooth...

I have an Android tablet that can HDMI out to the TV and use bluetooth or wired controllers, so that's what I'll be using for GTA III. I mean I could find a copy of GTA III for Xbox somewhere and then use it on my 360, but that'll be all standard def and close fog, and hooking up my pc to the TV would just be too annoying. Incidentally, ElwoodCuse, you should really try the PSP version of Chinatown Wars, it's really a lot better with real controls than the ipod touch/iphone touchscreen stuff.

I had already played through / beaten Chinatown Wars on DS before I got my first iPhone, so that when I got the game on iPhone, I didn't really care enough to play it all over again with terrible controls.

I had never played the Stories games either, but I got a pack of both of them on PS2 last year and tried to play them. They didn't grab me that much at all. I don't know what it was, but I just couldn't get into either one of them. But I will say that Liberty City Stories had motorcycles, and riding through the streets of GTA3's Liberty City on a motorcycle was loving awesome.
