I think the best part of all these is they think that food stamps give you like four grand a month or something. For a variety of reasons that aren't important I had to apply for them a little bit back. With absolutely zero income (and no dependents) I got $160.00 a month. I'm not complaining at all about it, but drat I want to know how to get the serious government money these Welfare Queens (tm) are getting. I have to admit that I really did want to go to Whole Foods or something and buy the most ridiculous poo poo possible in hopes that I could convince someone I was living high on the government teat or something but alas I did not

That collegeconservative post is essentially a re-written hit piece by the heritage foundation with a few made up anecdotes. http://www.fixwelfare.com/the-problem/ They take issue with the maximum monthly income to receive cash benefits. The limit? $1023. A month. They think a family making that little is making too much to receive benefits. Not only do her numbers not match up (20 years of living on welfare? not likely), but the #1 thing that stands out is this - What business of it is hers that she can judge what food these people buy? Oh, and this part quote:Furthermore, spending on welfare has increased dramatically, but there has been no reduction of the poverty rate. How dense do you have to be to come to this conclusion? I have been to the Super Walmart there plenty of times. In fact my wife had a baby there and used WIC at that walmart plenty of times. So guess what bitch, you know that support your troops ribbion on your Moms SUV? Yeah thats us, your loving troops, the welfare queens, who need WIC to feed our loving children.
