I like how she said the biggest celebrities at Adam's wedding were her, Kimmel and Dr. Drew. (I guess DAG didn't make it)

But that was just days after DAG discovered his girlfriend of 4 years WAS SLEEPING WITH HALF OF HOLLYWOOD   (at least Tom Sizemore, Colin Farrell and Cuba Gooding Jr)

I was just listening to a Loveline episode yesterday where Adam was railing on people asking him in interviews about Loveline "Where's the female perspective?"

"Well, that's Drew. Drew is the female. I'm the man, Drew's the pussy and everyone here is well represented."

WHAAAAAAAAAAA?! I'm about 5 days behind the present episode and I just heard this. I always figured Dr.Drew's departure would be the end of Loveline as we know it but I believe this is it. Between the ads being shoved down my throat and the blatant corporate sponsorship, I wanna vomit. Looks like I'm gonna have to just transfer a poo poo load of Carolla-era episodes to my ipod to listen to in the car...or go back to music. That was one of the best parts about the pod cast. All I had to do was sync my ipod with itunes and I'd have the latest 5 episodes every day. Some days I'd be be in the car long enough to tear through 2 episodes and it was just so convenient but I can't stand it. I don't want to say this is Stryker-bad but at least Loveline was still Loveline back then if that makes any sense.

End of a loving era...

This facebook post on their wall says it all.

Drew isn't gone but there's a new cohost named Simone. She's basically like a bad guest on the show every night.

Sorry, probably should have clarified. As Fork said, Drew isn't gone but I thought that Loveline wouldn't be "dead" until that day came. Well, despite Dr.Drew still actually being on the show and my really liking of Mike Catherwood as a co-host, the show has taken a turn for the worse so much so that it's like Dr.Drew not being there at all. It has just completely changed so much. Also WTF is with a question of the night BS and teasing calls? The best part about Loveline was the uncertainty of callers or topics that would arise. It had no scripted format and recently, these all seem to be attempts to make it into some sort of "legitimate" radio show.

She is, and her British accent is sexy for awhile, now she is just annoying and gives conflicting advice. She basically gives the advice you would read on the cover of a women's magazine. The stuff Drew always grips about being absolutely false.

Nicole Alvarez should have become the co-host if they had to pick from within KROQ.

Late 2002 to early 2003 with no guest is a pretty safe bet.

Aisha Taylor and Alana Ubach are considered good repeat guests that are on multiple times a year, and I really liked the 2-20-2000 Wallace Langham show.

I listened to 08-05-2001 today and it was insane. Drew and Adam wanted to stop the show and just go home because of the weirdness of EVERY caller. They were either dumb or had horrible issues. In fact, I think one of the most disturbing calls I have ever heard on Loveline is on this episode. It is maybe 1/3rd of the way through from a girl who loses her virginity to 4 guys. You really can hear what Adam and Drew talk about when they mention that a caller doesn't have a sane person's affect.

Adam could easily corral and contain a bad guest after the first obligatory 15 minutes. I found it took a really really bad guest to actually impede on the show.

The most disappointing guests were often big names (ex Alec Baldwin) because it just turned into Adam rant and showbiz insider talk.

Psycho Mike is adequately funny, but a people pleaser and company man like himself often lets the guest run slipshod.

The only guests I can think of that ruined the show for me are Gorillaz and that anti-abortion/birth control pill lady.

Gorillaz because one of the guys just wanted to do really unfunny impressions the whole time, and the lady because it angered me that Drew wasn't calling her out on her bullshit birth control statements.
