just finished The Telling by Ursula Le Guin. it's the last book in the Hainish Cycle and really good. soft sci-fi, little action and a very brief lesbian sex scene.

i never read the books but the frodo character was terrible in the movies. he didn't do anything special and got by because of everyone else especially rudy. he was like a goon who got dropped into a fantasy world and continually proved he was a buster
