A little odd that the Court doesn't care much about what their ex-forest denizens do, given how paranoid they are about folks who still live on the other side of the tracks.

The impression I've got is that the forest folk tend to feel that anyone who has gone to live in the Court is at best horribly misguided, and at worst a complete traitor. I guess the Court administration feels that any Foley students have cut their ties with the Forest.

I don't really think the Court is all that paranoid about Gillitie Woods, at least not recently. They seem pretty confident in their protection from Coyote, and generally direct action by the woods have been rare and pretty overt. I suspect the house structure is more: Thornhill = Apparently entirely normal. Foley = Weird, but not really dangerous. Probably should be kept out of public exposure for their own protection. Queslett = Fairly dangerous if powers misused. Chester = Massively dangerous poo poo. Potential destroyers of the world.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if increasing aptitude/weirdness corresponded with increasing danger in the Gunnerkrigg world.
