Austin Powers posted:Could someone recommend me some raw, aggressive rap? That poo poo is the bomb for working out. Yeah, AOTP and all associated with them. A few of my favorites on my workout playlist: AOTP - Battle Cry (please god add this to your playlist) AOTP-Spaz Out JMT - Heavy Metal Kings Basically look for anything with Vinnie Paz because he has the voice of the devil alansmithee posted:Also it's kinda hypocritical calling out anything for being dated when you're talking about AOTP and JMT. Like Vinnie Paz has been yelling the same poo poo for like 15 years now. Although I gotta admit Lil Jon is a bit...passive and to club/bouncy for me to consider it aggressive. Apathy and Celph have aggressive lyrics but they're a bit too involved imo to make good workout music (if you want it to just get hype). Like all the aggression comes from the wordplay and stuff. Eh, being dated doesn't matter for workout music. Half of JMT/AOTP poo poo is just them yelling punchlines over aggressive orchestral poo poo, which is perfect for working out. Some non AOTP/JMT favorites: Xzibit - Spit Shine Juelz Santana - The Second Coming Mobb Deep - Survival of the Fittest Obie Trice/D12 - Outro DMX/Eminem/Obie Trice - Go to Sleep Nas - The N Diabolic/Immortal Technique - Frontlines Also, like half of DMX or MOP's catalog, Hate Me Now, Til' I Collapse, etc. etc. Professor Funk fucked around with this message at 18:37 on Dec 30, 2011 |

Anyone not notice where I derided JMT for getting rid of Stoupe? Dude wanted some fight music, I gave him some that wasn't really ever in the public consciousness. The closest Apathy and Celph Titled got to mainstream was doing a few songs with Linkin Park's rapper. I didn't give him stuff that strippers shaked their asses to, which was the point I was making. Not that it's been nearly a decade since crunk was relevant.

I'm gonna be a bit more constructive and say that while your beats have a decent horror-tinged and almost heavy metal-esque atmosphere, your deliveries are monotonous and from the three songs I've heard so far, the subject matter doesn't stray far from adolescent, mall-goth musings. Also, quit biting Bone Thugs.

Cool, thanks for the listens dudes. Obviously my music is not for you, and that is okay. Scorched Spitz, I'm big with the adolescent mall-goths so that's fair I suppose.
