Apparently, iTunes and/or Square Enix decided to take down all of the Final Fantasy soundtracks. Now I can only listen to them at home on Youtube. Subsequently, I often spend hours listening to the old-school Pokemon soundtracks instead.

My stupid thirdhand car just cost me almost $1500 in repairs (mostly because it's a VW, so all the parts have to be hand-carved out of radioactive platinum in Brazil by little bavarian elves or some bullshit) and now I cannot trust it. Not like I've ever been able to trust a car I've driven, of course. The alternator in my poor faithful old 92 Corolla poo poo the bed shortly after it needed a new radiator; my 93 Escort threw a clutch AND the hydraulics to work the clutch but only the former got fixed, so six months later I was waiting for the tow truck AGAIN. It would be so loving nice to get into the car and not think "what horribly expensive bullshit is going to go wrong NOW, and it better not go wrong over the weekend because the place I take it to doesn't open on Saturday or Sunday." It's a pain. I mean, this is the first car I've ever driven that is not yet old enough to buy its own cigarettes, that has magic beepy locks, and many airbags, and a rear window wiper, and four hubcaps that actually match and are original to the vehicle. I'd love to trust it. I just can't. also I might possibly be getting a vague kind of semipromotion at work but it will mean I have to leave my carefully created lair and move to a cube with waist-high walls and no way to conceal my screen from anyone who happens by.

I got ambushed by a pair of spiders in the shower just now. The tiny little one crawling along the wall distracted me while I was blasting him down the drain, then a big white tail somehow jumped onto me while I wasn't looking and bit the back of my leg. I washed him down with his accomplice and now I'm left with a big red mark.

I have a ton of delicious food in my fridge that other people would kill for, and I can't eat any of it right now. My boyfriend got sick a few days ago, and I caught some of it the day after. We've both been incredibly nauseous (though he had it worse, and was puking a lot the first day), and even the thought of food makes us feel incredibly ill. I had some hot cocoa a few hours ago, and my stomach hasn't let me forget how upset it is, even after getting medicine for it. I just ate a few saltines and even that made me feel a bit queasy. The last thing I ate that vaguely resembled food was ~16 hours ago, and it was ramen so it hardly counts. I had a couple eggs and some toast another ~18 hours before that, so in the past couple days I've had what amounts to one meal. I am starving right now. magic pantaloons posted:I'm having trouble adjusting to clicking the refresh button from switching between two browsers (Chrome and Firefox and the refresh button is on different sides of the address bar). I'm still having trouble with this, and I switched to Chrome over a month ago. I used to love Firefox, but I can't run it on my netbook because it eats so much memory. Switching between tabs causes it to hang for several minutes, even if the pages are mostly text. I can open a million tabs in Chrome and it gives no fucks. E: I forgot to mention, the one thing that bugs me about Chrome is that timg tags don't seem to work. If someone uses them, I have to right-click the image and open in a new tab. It's a really minor complaint, though. Everything else is great. Also, I just discovered plain spaghetti is the best food ever. I was finally hungry enough to attempt eating, and it was the one thing in my kitchen that didn't make me feel nauseous just by looking at it. Didn't even put butter or salt on it. I was eating it out of the pot while waiting for it to cook, then I ate about half a serving, which felt like a grand feast compared to the last couple days. I want more, but I think my stomach is vetoing the idea. Bees on Wheat has a new favorite as of 14:30 on Jan 14, 2012 |

I woke up from a nap, and realized I had an awesome dream and I will never meet the chick in it It was a pretty hosed up dream (just nonsensical for a big chunk), but the end of it was pretty great. We ended up walking around some bigass mall in chinjapanistan and hitting it off, she laughed at my jokes, and we talked for a long time and really seemed to click. We had a lovely dinner and then I had to fly home the next day, and I woke up and realized "Oh gently caress it's a dream". It was one of those "it seemed soooo real" dreams.

I had some pho for dinner and only ate half of it, and I really didn't want to waste it, but it's not something that keeps in the fridge very well. My stomach is gurgling loud enough for my boyfriend to hear and he's five feet away. Also, I think I felt the exact moment when this illness decided to take up residence in my sinuses. My cousin is down to visit while I'm housesitting for my parents. Normally I would love this as I get to see him nowhere near as much as I would like, but I'm sorta bummed about a bunch of things and I just want alone time for a while, but I don't want to ask him to leave earlier than he wants to, but I still feel like I might accidentally be being a little poo poo and being a bit passive aggressive about it Also thirding the dream about meeting someone totally awesome and then waking up e: and there's no beers to drink to drown my sorrow
