I think there's a small difference (a tiny little difference) between collecting military vehicle models and collecting figures of big-breasted anime girls with their butts up in the air. My standard for craziness is generally "is this hurting the person or the people around them?", and I can't really see how this qualifies. She doesn't seem to be spending more money than she can afford on her figures, so that's out; it's possible this is screwing her up on a psychosexual level, but we don't see any direct evidence of that either. If she's neglecting people in her life for this hobby, or they're being driven away by her anime sex figurines, that's an issue, but I really see no evidence of this here. I'm not a huge fan of anime sex figurines either, but this seems like about the most harmless way you can collect them.

My story's tame, but here we go.

I knew a furry once. Sorry, no creepy anime people, though he was obsessed with some fox character from an old video game.

Roughly about 2005 or so, I had moved to a new city and pretty much simultaneously broken up with the person I moved here with (about 3 months after the move or so). I didn't have any friends, was looking for a job, and taking classes at a community college. In a move to find people to hang out with, I went to this club meeting at the community college for board games, pen and paper games, etc.

Anyway, most of that went well, and this guy named Tobias latched on me like a desperate leech. And, me having no friends, I thought 'well I can just discourage his advances, and he's not that bad :downs:'. Yes, I was retarded.

Tobias seemed reasonably normal at first, outside of being a bit socially awkward. He was 5'6" and maybe 110 pounds soaking wet (not kidding, this guy was a twig). He asked me on a date almost immediately, and I said no and he seemed to take it fairly well. He could be fun to talk to, and we'd hang around the college breakroom between classes and play games or whatever. We never hung out outside of the campus.

Time passed, and I was talking to him via AIM and he out of the blue asked me "Are you a furry?" and, when I told him "uh no" he dismissed it and went on. OK, whatever. He'd never said anything about furry stuff before then, so I didn't really think about it very much.

A couple days later I get an e-mail from him, that said 'I commissioned these because I thought you were a furry too' and in the e-mail it had a link to some pictures that went back to his FurAffinity page. The first one was weird enough: it had his fox guy holding a rose and holding it out to a character that was supposed to represent me (it was a cat :downs:) in a 'proposing' gesture. The other one... well. It was a very, very graphic picture of his furry fox character and that character that was apparently supposed to be me having raunchy sex. :gonk:

I went 'WTF!' at him a lot, and he hemmed and hawed and started trying to argue with me that this was his way of showing his feelings and being romantic and ohgod why didn't I understand him? and I eventually blocked him on AIM. This was about 9 PM or so, and at around midnight there was a knock on my door. Then several more knocks. I looked out the peephole and he was standing outside my door wearing a fox tail and ears and holding flowers.

I didn't let him in. I didn't answer the door. I didn't answer the phone when he called me about twelve times for about an hour. He finally went away. I just have no idea why he decided to go from 'relatively normal' to 'crazy creepy stalker fox man' in the space of a week.

I've never talked to him again. At least there's that; he never tried again.

The creepiest part? I never gave him my address, he didn't know anyone who had my address, I don't have my address anywhere online, and the only way he could have known it is if he followed me or did some crazy internet detective poo poo. His art page was also full of him talking about going to all these out of state furry and gaming conventions despite the fact that at the time he was poor as poo poo, living with his parents, and unable to find a job. I have no idea what became of him.

Yeah, it seemed tamer in my head and then I wrote it out and reread it and sort of went 'welp'.

What, the one that had a fox character he was obsessed with? To be honest, I'm not sure. It was a blue female fox in an older game with a name that started with a K.

Edit: google tells me Star Fox.

Look, I don't disagree with you that collecting anime sex figurines is a fairly ridiculous hobby. My point is just that it's not appropriate for this thread because a) this thread has been about astral-marriage bullshit and/or severe life- or relationship-wrecking problems, and I don't see any evidence of that in this woman, and b) even if her hobby is ridiculous, I don't think it's ridiculous to identify yourself with your hobby instead of your job, if your hobby's what really brings you joy in life.

Anyway -- sweet Jesus poo poo, that Tobias story. I'm amazed that he went from "hey, are you a furry?" and getting a no to "somehow I decided you were a furry anyway and here's some furry porn I commissioned!" to showing up at your door in fox ears. That's creepy as gently caress, man.

Also, I am very sad that I know this, but I believe the Star Fox character he was obsessed with was named Krystal. Krystal is a blue fox from some Star Fox game, and a lot of furries are completely sexually obsessed with her, because... she's a female furry character, I guess? Furries are pretty easy to lure into obsession, in my experience.

Most furry characters are just cartoons with animal faces, but Krystal is a human with a fox head who wears next to nothing and has perpetual bedroom eyes in the official art. She's always creeped me the gently caress out, as she's pretty much explicitly perv bait and not something that belongs on those games.

Also the video games started really sucking when she was included, and even in the games she does nothing but act as Fox's animu love interest. She has no character and no skills. So Star Fox fans who aren't furry and who just grew up in the game hate the gently caress out of her.

Seriously, she's so devoid of value that anyone who shows any sign of liking her is pretty much a creepy furry to run the other direction from.

I didn't really get an attention-whore vibe from her, though? I mean, I personally have no idea why you would shoot video of yourself dancing and post it on Youtube, but the impression I got was more that there was a subculture of people doing this and bonding over it as a hobby than it being pure LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT MEEEEE. That said, most nerd hobbies/subcultures have some level of LOOK AT ME GODDAMMIT at their heart, and that's basically the sole purpose of Youtube, so I can see the argument otherwise.

LET'S FUCKING GOOOOOOOO
The following are just random facts/tidbits I and others have recently recalled about Alice. They are in no particular order for the most part and will more than likely be the last postings related to this individual as I don't really care to hunt through logs for more.

Alice forced Pat to sleep on the floor when he was visiting after making Pat watch while she gave that drug dealer guy a hand job and sleeping with him afterward. She later pissed on Pat's little sister's favorite blanket which happened to be in Pat's car at the time, simply to spite him.

Alice never brushes her teeth and very rarely ever bathes.

Alice once was friends with a fellow named Matt who may have very well suffered from some form of retardation but I have no proof of such. Alice often talked of having to fight him off when he would try to basically have his way with Alice. This particular fellow was also one of the worst MMO players I've ever seen. He always played the tank character in any MMO and would just pull EVERYTHING he could find then stand there doing absolutely nothing (except drawing dicks on the radar in Guild Wars)

Alice was dating a girl named Christina at the time when we first became friends. All I ever really knew of it all was Christina had a really bad temper and would beat Alice randomly and throw her out.

Alice has some furry tattoo on one of her arms and often wore ears or tails in public settings and truly believed he was a "bunny"

Pat once emailed me some origin story to explain why he's a guy who pretended to be a girl that involved his father trying to perform an abortion on him but messing up and damaging his genitalia. Later when confronted about it publically, both Alice and Pat claimed this was their story and the other was lying.

Alice honestly believes her penis is a giant clitoris and only a few years ago learned what "futanari" means. Since then she claimed to be one despite the fact that magical dick girls do not exist period.

Alice used to use "alchemy" to influence his rolls in WoW to win loot. She rarely won so clearly her hocus pocus bullshit didn't work out as planned.

Alice would give me poo poo about being an rear end in a top hat for "ganking" in WoW on my rogue. I killed people within 2 levels of me almost exclusively in self defense or defense of an ally. Soon after this, Alice began killing people 10+ levels below her who were simply questing then recorded video of it set to the theme song from Samurai Champloo complete with cheesy special effects to show how "skilled" at PvP she is compared to everyone else.

I tried to play a mage in WoW and Alice decided later to make one then got pissed I was one already, claiming this was her class. she later did the same when I made my previously-mentioned rogue.

There was a period where Alice did "blood rituals" involving cutting herself and trying to use the blood to gain things in life. She slipped up with a scalpel once and realized how incredibly stupid this was then promptly stopped.

Literally any topic you tried to bring up in the various chat rooms had to be approved by Alice or everyone would gang up on you. I once wanted to play WoW again and everyone basically told me to gently caress off because WoW was poo poo. Within 2 weeks they were playing it again because she felt like it.

She played all MMOs freely as Zein would pay for any game/account on her behalf as well as join in despite his admitted hatred of said games combined with Alice's incredibly short attention span.

The scalpels were bought for her by Zein despite protests from Zein that Alice should not cut. He later bought literally hundreds of cigarettes off the internet for Alice while trying to get her to stop smoking.

One time when Alice freaked out and ran off she tried to change her name to Maria and picked some last name that meant "bunny" in Spanish or some such poo poo. At this time she tried to tell me I could come with her and Zein on the conditions that I abandoned absolutely everyone I spoke to online, even those who knew nothing of Alice and that I changed my nick to Dogmeat.

Alice claimed one night in front of everyone that Zein had slept with a man once then told her about it while crying and full of regret. Zein denied this story for about a minute before going "Are you sure I did? Well maybe I am gay."

Holy poo poo. This beings back ugly memories.

Bill had a girlfriend he was trying to rescue, which basically meant she was a cheap hooker. He found her while walking his dog in a vacant lot. She had a little camping tent set up in the brush, where she would 'work' for Pepsi & cigarettes. Bill, bless his heart, thought she was worth saving, so he brought her over to see Liz.

They discovered that first night that Missy wasn't housebroken. She literally did not know how to use a modern toilet, TP, sink or soap. If she had to go she did so right where she was sitting. Clean up? Why? It's not going to hurt anyone!

Missy was in her 20s, born and raised in California, yet never used an actual bathroom because 'it wasn't natural'. Yes--she was really a fox, and foxes, you see, neither live in houses nor use toilets. She had a set of fox ears she wore when she was in her tent or walking along the road.

She fit right in; that group had an eagle, a bear, a wolf (Bill) and of course Liz and Cat.

Cat and Liz decided to train her, and they more or less succeeded. After all, she only pissed on one chair at my house. We threw it out.

I find it amusing that most self-identified furries tend to ignore or at least remain ignorant about most habits of the animals they consider their fursonas, while here we are reading about a girl supposedly raised to excrete like an animal. Wolves have a social system and manners. Missy had neither.

She ran away from home when she was very young, or so she said. I don't think she could read. In any event, she neither knew nor cared about the most basic hygiene. Cat and Liz sort of succeeded with her, probably because they were cats and not people, whom she hated.

I never met anyone from her family (unlike Bill, who had a wonderful family), so I have no idea what happened or when. I do know that there are some people who are just plain feral. I have a distant cousin who would rather live in a vacant lot under a shelter made of pallets and tarps, eating out of dumpsters, than with her family because they have too many 'rules'. You know, like not having sex in the front yard, unreasonable things like that. You can't help them; all you can do is watch the disaster from a nice, safe distance.

The last time I saw Missy she was panhandling outside a Dairy Queen, filthy fox ears in place. I kept going.

He was always a weird kid. If he didn't get to go to the video store to rent Pokemon videos again, he'd have a screaming, flailing tantrum until he got to go. He was more violent when he was younger. He nearly got kicked out of his daycare for biting other kids. He still had fits like that past the age of 7.

Kirk also used to have a good appetite and ate whatever we gave him, but when he was 2, he got the flu and threw up some vegetable soup and hasn't touched a fruit or vegetable since. He primarily survives on Pizza Hut pepperoni pizza, plain toast, and soda, though we did get him to try Sunny D a while ago, and he's been drinking that regularly. A few years ago, my dad tried to get him to eat a piece of garlic sausage that wasn't a brand he was familiar with. He ran around the house screaming, trying to get away, simply because he refused to try a tiny piece of sausage.

Despite all the grease he consumes, he's not even fat. He's always been just a little twig of a kid, running around pretending to be Spider-man or Batman or Mario... or the Grim Reaper.

He was allowed to go out in public in his Grim Reaper costume, complete with mask. Or sometimes, he'd dress up as Mario, complete with moustache. He's got a real weird thing for facial hair. Our dad has a moustache, so maybe that's where it came from? If a character had facial hair, he would instantly adore them. If they didn't have facial hair, that was a serious strike against them.

I guarantee he will never learn to shave and will end up with the grossest, patchiest beard and moustache ever.

Also, I should probably mention, Kirk just turned 17.

maybe for one second you can pause; try to step into another person's perspective, and understand that a watermelon is cursing me

What's with the face mask in the first video? Her twitter icon has it too. If I didn't know any better I'd think she was hiding her face out of embarrassment, but in light of the fact that her entire life is posted online that seems unlikely.
I'd like to think that she had a cold at the time, but it's probably just mimicking a particular animes character rather than a social behaviour.

I've seen tons of lolitas and "meidos" wearing those things (and also bloody eye patches). I think it's a weeaboo fashion thing, like cat ears.

I was about to say, if this kid's like, 12, all kids go through that period. Still might just be "that period" (mine may or may not still be going, depending on who you talk to), but should still make an interesting story. :munch:

Has he been evaluated for mental illness? Having problems with nutrition at such an early age suggests either a biological cause or parents who really failed at sticking to their guns about food.

I was just looking it up to make sure I didn't say something dumb and

Worn to prevent spreading colds and getting allergies, masks have evolved into fashion items. Gothic lolita masks, maid masks, schoolgirl masks and even masks on gravure idols (glorified bikini models).

It is a fashion thing after all.

I'm not really surprised, I guess. I see lolitas and meidos and cosplayers wearing them all the time.

Edit: also fashionable are bandages and... casts, apparently...
