We've seen the Prospit-cloud scene come to fruition with Roxy, so I imagine that Dirk will ascend to the highest point of the building soon enough - and what better a time than to have the mysterious Sawtooth make an appearance? Especially given the way that he's been hyped up to rather resemble the original Bro (really cool guy, not around much, etc). It also gives Andrew a chance to deploy one of his only half-ironically cringe-inducing robot rap-offs, which is always a treat and will be heralded by pages and pages of ~a callback!~ in this thread and others.

Dirk being a MLP fanboy fits right into the comic. We already have at least 3 borderline furries, a juggalo, an emokid/nice guy, a Twilight fangirl, a rageoholic, a 16 year old drinker, to name a few. Just about every character so far has embodied at least one annoying internet stereotype. The ultimate irony will be when UU is revealed as a Hetalia cosplayer.

To be fair this comic is like a drug addiction. You know that it is killing you and you promise yourself that you will quit it. You then decide to go cold turkey. But that isn't enough. Soon the cravings come back again. You wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweats because you are sure you heard the haunting honks from Gamzee as he approaches your room. You then take just one more look at the comic, but it's too late. too MOTHERFUCKING late

I first started binging on Homestuck back in March. I started reading it on and off (think I took a long break after Rose was introduced then another after the trolls' game had just started) but as I read it in spurts I began to love it, at least for a little while. Then characters started dropping like flies and the comic made me sick and bitter. I've started reading it again (I'm at the beginning of Act 6) and even though it still confuses the HELL out of me, I'm enjoying the comic again!

I feel like Homestuck is a big sandbox for Hussie to play in, with literary experiments out the wazoo. Once he starts whatever he does after Homestuck, he'll take what he learned and make something better. (And bigger? Who the gently caress knows.) I'm wondering how many people will leave after Homestuck is finished, like they have nothing else to live for.

Might I revive the theory that Luckyellow is Andrew Hussie? Slightly related to the topic at hand, back in June I decided Homestuck would end on day 1025, tomorrow. From tomorrow on we will follow the wacky adventures of Squarewave and Sawtooth in And It Don't Stop 2: Electric Boogaloo. (I should add here that I kind of feel like the only person around who really, really didn't like And It Don't Stop.)

Huh, Dirk calling his skateboard a four wheel device made me realize that the Troll thing of literal descriptive names actually started with Dave and his hashmap sylladex (like blender -> whirling blade pitcher or whatever). Kind of interesting how a lot of the running gags started with the B1 kids, got transformed by the Trolls, and now we're seeing an additional reflection through the B2 Kids.
