Of course AR isn't evil, why would he be? He's just being aloof and mysterious because he's loving Dirk as a 13-year-old. But drat, the more you think on this universe the more horribly depressing it is, and so far it seems like only Roxy and Dirk are showing cracks. Jane and Jake are just too drat enthusiastic to be pulled down, it seems (which is pretty fitting, as Life and Hope.) That's sort of the contrast between Jake and Eridan. They both had fairly lonely, crappy lives, but Jake constantly rises above and tries to have fun with it and enjoy life. Eridan just complained and wallowed in self-pity, eventually turning coat and (nearly) dooming his friends and species. Jake is the best Hope player, Eridan was the worst.

So, my school has a convention (Genericon). I know the people who run it, and while I don't have as high of an opinion of the people who run it as the ones who did a few years ago (more anime, less scifi these days), it's still okay. Unfortunately, there's a homestuck panel this year. Now, the panel organizer did this because he really didn't give much of a poo poo and is there to organize what people want, and is going to laugh at the stupidity. He's also a good friend of mine. I'm trying to decide if I request to get on the panel and gently caress with the other panelers, crash it with SBaHJ quotes, or simply gouge out my eyes. Alternatively, I could leave off my normal Mr. Stopheles/Bill Zebub/Tony Stark costume (All of these involve wearing suits and insulting people) and cosplay as a homestuck character, and then gently caress with people that way. Ugh. I'm not sure which will be worse, the Hetalia fans or the Homestuck ones. I was teaching a ballroom class for the con last year, and a couple girls went up to a female pair of twins and said 'You put the win in wincest', right in front of their parents.

Leaving out the intermission, just over 200 pages passed between the beginning of Act 6 and Jane getting the game running at all (which we saw from her perspective earlier, if you overlooked it). The entirety of Act 1 is not much longer at just shy of 250 pages, and John started the game about halfway through. That's not entirely a fair comparison, though, since this time around we met the other players a lot sooner and spent more time with them.
