Does anyone have a link for that video for a song that Gucci features on early in his career? I think the song is by a group of guys and Gucci fts by himself, they're in a grassy area, there might've been a camper van there. I've youtubed and googled for what seems like half an hour trying to find something earlier than even 2009.

dammit i knew what it was as soon as i read your first post but i don't have the mp3 on this hard drive and can't remember/find the forum/blog i got it from. something like so icey forums or bricksquadmusic blog... they had a bunch of no-dj versions of the best Gucci tracks from 08-09 too

sonuvabitch this is gonna kill me

e:okay I found it on a different youtube page it was bricksquadmuzik.com which doesn't exist anymore but here's the hulkshare for a 320kbps mp3 of Misery Loves Company

Pretty sure I was conflating it with a different forum for those no-dj joints though because that was definitely So Icey something before Brick Squad was a thing

not all of it since he's super prolific which means quality control isn't tops, but I'd say the majority is pretty straight. I like a lot of the stuff he did when he was jacking beats before This Ain't No Mixtape came out (so 07-08ish). I think he did some kind of compilation of the best tracks from those tapes but I don't remember what it was called. I do remember that his last tape before the album was Fin... and was pretty good.

From what I understand is that Earl is home due to this AIM group but maybe is not with OF now?

Hodgy makes it sounds like he's back but these guys are gonna be running the show. I wish I knew more of what was going on. Dammit, why must everything be so complicated with Earl?

EDIT: Article from Samao Observer saying he graduated from Coral Reef http://www.samoaobserver.ws/index.p...-news&Itemid=50

He turns 18 in about two weeks, and it sounds like he did what everyone was afraid of: change.

But we'll see what that means musically. I have faith that his poo poo will still be dope be it about life or tearing bitches apart.

EDIT 2: Now the context of Tyler's tweet "Ive Never Been Excited And Angry At The Same Time Until Today. Thats A hosed Feeling." makes a lot more sense. drat, that kinda bums me out

He's about 3k away from hitting the goal of 50,000. Only time will tell. He's 18 in a few weeks. Did he use AIM to get out of Samoa? Has he changed? Will it affect his flow and sweet lyrical genius?

Definitely listen to both Pilot Talks and the Smokee Robinson Mixtape. There are some meaaaaan tracks on there. I have also nothing but good things to say about Fast Times at Ridgemond Fly. I haven't really enjoyed Convert Coup and his more recent stuff though. Sometimes his flow gets old and boring.

no offense, but could we keep this kind of stuff in the Odd Future thread? If Earl releases any new tracks by all means talk about them here but this isn't the right thread to obsess over the private lives of minors in.

I agree with all this but I thought Covert Coup was excellent, definitely recommend that one. I also enjoyed the "How Fly" mixtape he did with Wiz Khalifa but that sorta depends on how you feel bout Wiz.

edit: I really loved Alchemist's production on CC so I'm stoked to be hearing they're planning a sequel. Also apparently he's doing an album produced entirely by Chuck Inglish which sounds pretty rad too.

Really the only answer is that Curren$y has released so much free poo poo that you might as well skim through as much as you can until you find a tape you particularly like.

Not gonna lie, that's the last nail in the coffin containing any interest I had in Bronson. Not sure if he would've ever gotten past "white dude who raps about food and sounds like Ghostface" thing anyway since that's been about 95% of his appeal it seems.

Also really kinda disappointed he's spending time with garbage dudes instead of trying to put on some of the other outdoorsmen. I thought his best stuff was actually his features on Meyhem Lauren's tapes, but w/e.

That's probably RIff Raff's best verse which is not saying a lot.

The biggest problem I have with white rappers across the board is that they don't have any self-restraint. Like, I could dig Riff-Raff or a lot of those dudes if they put a little more effort into their music. I fault them for the same stuff I fault a lot of small time, barely known artists. But people take it as "well you wouldn't like his stuff anyways" and I think the "I don't give gently caress" attitude is a turn-off.
