Also looks like someone copied out the third one, it's probably meant to say Black, it doesn't really make sense for 1 and 3 to repeat. Probably done by the same person who added Muslims from Kenya to have a sly dig at Obama as well. It is absolutely about Obama because only 11% of Kenyans are Muslim. Over 80% of Kenyans are Christian. They probably think they can deny the obvious racism by removing the Black reference, even though it shows up in the conclusion. It is so incredibly racist I can't believe someone would actually forward it.

A penchance for tongue-in-cheek overstatement, plus: quote:Now and then, in the course of the century, a great man...has been able to isolate himself, to keep himself out of reach of the clamorous claims of others...and so to realise the perfection of what was in him, to his own incomparable gain, and to the incomparable and lasting gain of the whole world. These, however, are exceptions. The majority of people spoil their lives by an unhealthy and exaggerated altruism - are forced, indeed, so to spoil them. They find themselves surrounded by hideous poverty, by hideous ugliness, by hideous starvation. It is inevitable that they should be strongly moved by all this...Accordingly, with admirable though misdirected intentions, they very seriously and very sentimentally set themselves to the task of remedying the evils that they see... I mean, I'd be happy to have my understanding rectified, but I've always thought it boiled down to "Look, I have poetry to write, and these beggars keep distracting me! Someone should really do something about them, by abolishing private property and making permanent public ensurance against want and privation!" Maybe I only wanted it to say that, for the hilarious incongruity with so much modern politics?

If nothing else, the stupid pig story doesn't work because most pigs are smart enough to slam against weak fences or dig around the posts. Now, instead of pigs, let's use the sheep. But wait, wild animals tend to be smart. Why the gently caress don't these people just use the story from Watership Down, where my avatar is from? In short, wild rabbits live in a large warren, and a disease comes and kills many of them. A farmer notes that some rabbit survived and decides to breed them for the meat and skins. But no point building hutches; he lets them live where they are, but puts snares and wires around the warren. But the rabbits have no more predators, foxes or owls as the farmer shoots them all, and have the best food to eat as the farmer supplies it, but here and there a rabbit goes missing. And the rabbits know what it is going on, but better to lose a few here and there than to give up the life of luxury. And as rabbits live by the wits, so goes the line from my avatar. But I suppose that would require people to read, and I bet a lot of them would see Woundwort as a patriot and a hero.

He started forwarding e-mails to me when I got into a debate with another distant relative over a test welfare, close the border, criminals are scum all wrapped up in one beautiful e-mail. Since then I guess my e-mail popped up on his "Reply All" button somehow. I don't block him simply because I like to read them. It's a helpful reminder of what is out there and the hypocrisy of it all. It astounds me the blatant ignorance and willful hatred of an "out group" that some people possess. I'd rather be aware of it then ignore it I guess in a way. Don't want it to become an out of sight, out of mind thing I suppose. Also I send him reply's to factual sites in the vain hope that he might learn something rather than spew filth and hate. I think he's in his 60's so he's pretty set in his ways I'm sure. I figure he and people like him aren't going to make the leap on their own and, even though it's a slim chance that I'll make a dent, it's at least got some sort of shot rather than leaving them to their own devices and not challenging them ya know? Edit: Plus then I wouldn't be able to share them with you guys and gals :] Edit 2: I'm in the south also, racism is still alive and thriving. It's hard to find someone who doesn't have some sort of racist belief. People look at me like I have two heads when I start talking, especially about illegal immigration. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The group that benefits the most from welfare money is DEPENDENT CHILDREN. So if you really think that punishing people for daring to try to take so much as 1 cent of your taxes is an appropriate reason for children to starve, then you're a horrible human being. I would personally rather live in a nation where we take care of our least fortunate, rather than giving them the finger and saying gently caress You Got Mine.
