Probably done by the same person who added Muslims from Kenya to have a sly dig at Obama as well.

It is absolutely about Obama because only 11% of Kenyans are Muslim. Over 80% of Kenyans are Christian. They probably think they can deny the obvious racism by removing the Black reference, even though it shows up in the conclusion.

It is so incredibly racist I can't believe someone would actually forward it.

Where the hell did you get that summarisation from?

A penchance for tongue-in-cheek overstatement, plus:

quote:

Now and then, in the course of the century, a great man...has been able to isolate himself, to keep himself out of reach of the clamorous claims of others...and so to realise the perfection of what was in him, to his own incomparable gain, and to the incomparable and lasting gain of the whole world. These, however, are exceptions. The majority of people spoil their lives by an unhealthy and exaggerated altruism - are forced, indeed, so to spoil them. They find themselves surrounded by hideous poverty, by hideous ugliness, by hideous starvation. It is inevitable that they should be strongly moved by all this...Accordingly, with admirable though misdirected intentions, they very seriously and very sentimentally set themselves to the task of remedying the evils that they see...

But this is not a solution: it is an aggravation of the difficulty. The proper aim is to try and reconstruct society on such a basis that poverty will be impossible...

Under Socialism all this will, of course, be altered. There will be no people living in fetid dens and fetid rags, and bringing up unhealthy, hungerpinched children in the midst of impossible and absolutely repulsive surroundings. The security of society will not depend, as it does now, on the state of the weather. If a frost comes we shall not have a hundred thousand men out of work, tramping about the streets in a state of disgusting misery, or whining to their neighbours for alms, or crowding round the doors of loathsome shelters to try and secure a hunch of bread and a night's unclean lodging. Each member of the society will share in the general prosperity and happiness of the society, and if a frost comes no one will practically be anything the worse...

These are the poor, and amongst them there is no grace of manner, or charm of speech, or civilisation, or culture, or refinement in pleasures, or joy of life....As for the virtuous poor, one can pity them, of course, but one cannot possibly admire them. They have made private terms with the enemy and sold their birthright for very bad pottage. They must also be extraordinarily stupid.

I mean, I'd be happy to have my understanding rectified, but I've always thought it boiled down to "Look, I have poetry to write, and these beggars keep distracting me! Someone should really do something about them, by abolishing private property and making permanent public ensurance against want and privation!" Maybe I only wanted it to say that, for the hilarious incongruity with so much modern politics?

If nothing else, the stupid pig story doesn't work because most pigs are smart enough to slam against weak fences or dig around the posts. Now, instead of pigs, let's use the sheep. But wait, wild animals tend to be smart.

Why the gently caress don't these people just use the story from Watership Down, where my avatar is from? In short, wild rabbits live in a large warren, and a disease comes and kills many of them. A farmer notes that some rabbit survived and decides to breed them for the meat and skins. But no point building hutches; he lets them live where they are, but puts snares and wires around the warren. But the rabbits have no more predators, foxes or owls as the farmer shoots them all, and have the best food to eat as the farmer supplies it, but here and there a rabbit goes missing. And the rabbits know what it is going on, but better to lose a few here and there than to give up the life of luxury.

And as rabbits live by the wits, so goes the line from my avatar.

But I suppose that would require people to read, and I bet a lot of them would see Woundwort as a patriot and a hero.

...requiring drug tests for government assistance is unreasonable search and seizure and is very much unconstitutional.

Secondly, only 1% of the federal budget is spent on Welfare Programs. Most Social Services funding is pulled from property and sales taxes, so you are not "earning someone's welfare check".

Thirdly, the maximum welfare payout per month is $500, much of which is diverted for rent, if the recipient does not receive Section 8 funding (and most do not due to years-long waiting lists for Section 8 funds in most metropolitan areas). This leaves very little on which to survive, much less buy drugs.

Finally, drugs dealers deal drugs to make cash. They do not want an EBT card. And before some moron says otherwise, it is taboo in such circles for a hard drug dealer to use his own supply, or that of another dealer.

A distant relative. Not even sure exactly how we're related but I recognize his last name as being a relative of some sorts.

He started forwarding e-mails to me when I got into a debate with another distant relative over a test welfare, close the border, criminals are scum all wrapped up in one beautiful e-mail. Since then I guess my e-mail popped up on his "Reply All" button somehow.

I don't block him simply because I like to read them. It's a helpful reminder of what is out there and the hypocrisy of it all. It astounds me the blatant ignorance and willful hatred of an "out group" that some people possess. I'd rather be aware of it then ignore it I guess in a way. Don't want it to become an out of sight, out of mind thing I suppose.

Also I send him reply's to factual sites in the vain hope that he might learn something rather than spew filth and hate. I think he's in his 60's so he's pretty set in his ways I'm sure.

I figure he and people like him aren't going to make the leap on their own and, even though it's a slim chance that I'll make a dent, it's at least got some sort of shot rather than leaving them to their own devices and not challenging them ya know?

Edit: Plus then I wouldn't be able to share them with you guys and gals :]

Edit 2: I'm in the south also, racism is still alive and thriving. It's hard to find someone who doesn't have some sort of racist belief. People look at me like I have two heads when I start talking, especially about illegal immigration. Sometimes I think their heads want to explode lol.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The group that benefits the most from welfare money is DEPENDENT CHILDREN.

So if you really think that punishing people for daring to try to take so much as 1 cent of your taxes is an appropriate reason for children to starve, then you're a horrible human being. I would personally rather live in a nation where we take care of our least fortunate, rather than giving them the finger and saying gently caress You Got Mine.
