It's basically in Kino's hands and I have no doubt they're as anxious to get it done as we are, especially because it and Mirror have atrocious DVD treatments.

Quantum of Phallus

Oh yeah I saw the Mirror DVD last year, quality was pretty bad, plus it's pretty hard to find, had to watch my college's copy.

Artificial Eye are bringing out a new Region 2 Stalker in August, DVD only :smithicide: Don't know yet if it's just a reprint of their 2002 version in a new box or a new transfer. Highly doubt it.

So amazon has 3 days of the condor up for $22 right now. I haven't seen it so low in a long time. Since it's been so long since I've looked it up, I can't remember if the regular blu ray is the same as the studio C digibook that's around $65. Which would be the better version?

Are any of you planning on buying the Game of Thrones Blu-Ray set? I just pre-ordered it on Amazon after seeing the bluray.com review.

Of course I haven't seen the show before, so that might make me an idiot, but between the reviews I have read online, and talking to some of my friends, it feels like a pretty safe blind purchase.

They're following the exact same process that they do with all of their shows. They typically always wait to release the previous season just prior to the new season starting, as most of their shows they like to keep on an annual schedule.

Not all of their shows. They really hosed up with Boardwalk Empire. They released the first season AFTER the second season had finished airing.

Yeah but you still gotta pay shipping then and at that point it's the same price just about. This set is $25 and qualifies for free shipping. You might as well get the whole thing for this price.

EDIT: Looks like there is a 4th disc that comes with the full set as well that you wouldn't get buying them separately.

The features on the 4th disc are awesome. There's a 20 minute feature on restoring the film that's worth the price of admission alone.

Yeah I was just reading about them and they sound solid. I know this is going to sound crazy but I've never really seen all three films. I've seen PARTS of each one I think but never really sat down and absorbed them. I figured now would be the time to buy this and fix this long standing issue.

I don't know why but Amazon keeps listing third-party sellers ahead of their own listings on certain items. The link was right when I first posted it. If you look, on the right side under more sellers, Amazon's $25 is listed.

It's because their own listing is backordered, so they went with the cheapest 3rd party that is available now.

Amazon's now price matched Best Buy and has Game of Thrones for $35.

They don't even ship it, you have to pick it up at a local store. And none of the ones within 5 miles of me are available to select, so gently caress it. Still ordered from BB for the dope Targaryen box, tho.
