Voting E We've put off Solaris for a long time now so it'd be nice to see some exciting deathmatch action rather than just a training excercise I think.

A. Figure if the Ryuken does well enough in training on-camera, I can sleep soundly knowing they're loving up the Clans off-camera.

The Davions are too perfect in the original timeline, so the only way you will root for them is for them to take over the Draconis Combine? I really wish I had voted E.

Only way Davions get rooted for is when paired with someone who matters. I also heavily doubt that PTN will go into quite the Sue territory, and the Davions actually have some pretty cool stuff behind them that gets drowned out in Victor and Kai BS, which we will hopefully get a chance to see. Kicking rear end in the join exercise is the sort of thing that could make the Kuritas into more than the lesser partner in the alliance and more of an actual partner. Show the Davions what DCMS mechwarriors can do, and help silence the Kurita traditionalists that would hold the Combine half down.

Solaris has always been one of the long-suffering votes. For over a year now every time Solaris pops up, even people who would be interested in it have passed on it in favor of more topical choices. We've just had a scenario that shook the status quo to its very core. We don't necessarily have to rush back into the Draconis fray again, we've already played two missions against them and one as them. (Granted, that particular force was occupied Rasalhague, but hey.) We've neglected Solaris long enough and while I, too, would like to see Space Japan deliver some comeuppance, I'm more interested in seeing what twists PTN has to offer for the gladiatorial grand melee. This is the first time a significant number of voters have finally felt the time to be right for some arena action (and possibly even PvP!), and if narrative momentum picks up on the macro-scale in the background, I'm not sure we'll get a chance like this again.

This... this map. How awesome? You remember when Wiz completely remade the world by changing the destiny of a tiny German state? Yeah, that level of awesome. In other news, A Solaris never really appealed to me. Sweet A list units fighting PTN's new sweet A list units sounds cooler. Hey, speaking of which, aren't there special Solaris rules to better fit the arena timing and stuff? Centurium fucked around with this message at 04:22 on Feb 15, 2012 |

I'm pulling for Solaris because I want to see someone, even if it has to be me, doing WWE-style commentary alongside John Madden Commentary. Does that make me a bad person? ("Awwwwwwwww hayle yeah, this right here is why the Atlas is in my Fave Five right here shucky ducky quack quack")

Well, a lot of things went differently, not just Swabia, and it's the same here, though this story is much more player and GM-driven, what with CK, EU, Vicky and HoI having so many AIs. It seems E is leading by three now (votes cannot be changed). That's possibly within the margin of error. Hmmm, a late rally by Option E. Guess I was wrong about where this was going, A must have exhausted its voter reserves, with numerous votes expended on B-D.

It's not a combat sporting event without elaborate flashy moves that don't really help but look great. There should be a DFA-minimum. Hell, getting great ratings could even be a fun secondary objective, as tracked on the applause-o-meter (surprisingly, not lostech). Of course you could always go all Russel Crowe in a Gladiator and hand out the PPC headshots while screaming "Are you not entertained?!"
