Omgee that reminds me, the new Beneath the Massacre tape is incredibly good. It's still super technical but, like the EP, it's ultra groovy and actually has memorable songs. I recommend it at the highest priority.

Folks, I'm here to take back a lot of the mean things I've said re: Emmure because as it turns out they make a great weight lifting jam. It's just stupid and angry which is what I'm shooting for when moving weights around. I have no interest in seeing them live or listening to them in any non-gym context. The Acacia Strain still own all the bones.

Really digging the new Veil of Maya. Getting more ID vibes from it than The Common Man's Collapse though, but I really enjoyed ID anyway. TCMC is still their best though. Also, the new Breakdown of Sanity track someone posted earlier is very sick. Can't wait for the album.

The perfect bro-core gym band, for you and your bros to blast while blasting the reps out in the squat cage. The dulcet vocals in Children of Cybertron help distract you from the feeling that your friend is watching your squat form just a little *too* closely. I mean, you've known each other since you were kids, and Drake knows you're dating that sweet piece of jailbait rear end that works at Rue 21. You've got to be imagining things right? A single drop of sweat rolls down your cheek, the curved path bringing it to rest at the top of your lip. Instead of wiping it off, for some reason you decide to lick it away. Drake's eyes lock with yours.

I WANNA SEE YOU SUCK HIS DICKKKKKK anyways, my band's first show/EP release show is coming at the end of March! We are playing with some awesome bands! I'm particularly excited for White Arms of Athena, but they are a little divorced from metal/death-core I think.

Hey guys, Im relatively new to the -core scene, having been introduced to it by my neighbor in my dorm. I tend to like anyone who successfully combines singing and screaming and am looking to expand outward in my tastes. Currently, Im enjoying Enter Shikari, As I Lay Dying, Of Mice & Men, Motionless in White, The Word Alive, Parkway Drive, and Alesana. I have to admit, Im not a huge genre junkie, so I apologize if any of those is grossly wrong for this thread. Thanks dudes!

I don't think I could recommend any metalcore record more than this. They're what I imagine El Cielo-era Dredg and BTBAM would sound like if they merged (that probably won't mean anything to you but it might make other people in the thread give this a listen).

So the new The Safety Fire album is easily the best metalcore album I've heard in a long time. The songwriting and instrumentation are top loving notch, and the vocals are very unique, in a good way. It's a little djenty, but not overdone at all.

I'm surprised more people aren't talking about Ex Lives... it's a really really well done album. It's undeniably Every Time I Die, which I like about it a lot. Underwater Bimbos is an absolutely fantastic song and I've thought so ever since they released the video, I still think it's the best song on the album. Typical Miracle and Partying Is Such Sweet Sorrow are more memorable to me than some of the other songs and Revival Mode, the second "single" they put out a video for, is a nice change of pace but unfortunately marks the downward turning point for the album. I like the song itself but it's long and slow and once that song hits the rest of the album just kind of drags for me. Overall I think that New Junk Aesthetic is a better album and it would have been difficult to top but Ex Lives definitely has a unique feel to it which makes it great in its own way. bleedbackwards posted:They're really not metalcore or deathcore but I've been loving the new Abominable Putridity and I think they have pretty broad appeal for deathcore fans.
