And let's be honest, one never needs an excuse to build a Kingman themed team.

Imagine what Jeff Bagwell would have done if he hadn't played his prime years in the Astrodome.

Imagine that, then tell me it's not a monstrosity.

In the end, it comes down to throwing one pitch after another, and seeing what happens. With each new consequence, the game begins to take shape.

My bullpen blows two saves here but the real problem is Sparky bringing in my PM starter into the PM2 game when I run out of bullpen guys. I don't have any of my five starters checked for relief so I'm not sure why he'd pull out the guy at 50% instead of one of my three other starters at 100%.

edit: I just noticed that my SP4 and SP5 pinch hit late in extras and never actually pitched in the game. My SP3 still never came into the game at all and was sitting pretty at 100%. Argh Sparky you hurt me sometimes

Nah, we've already got everyone but Art in, easier just to deal with BOGGS than try and get us all into another one. Especially when another one could very well have ligapelota or lazerhawks or whomever else in it, too.

Once they do, just use a proxy, PM me for details of running an SSH server at home, and using PuTTy to establish a tunnel via SSH to it. This has the added bonus of encrypting all your web traffic over the tunnel so your IT department will have no way of knowing what the gently caress you're doing over it.

I mean, my team isn't winning poo poo and is purely experimental so that's no big deal but drat that doesn't help toadee out any.

Let's do a gimmick goon private league, where we can just go nuts with teams like these.

ArtVandelay
Jul 13, 2004

This is a kind of useful crop of hitters, and the one pitcher I did calculate might actually be the best AAA pitcher i've ever had. I can't be sure until the season starts and I can see their fielding ratings, but it's either Charlie Smith or Dennis Rasmussen - both are very effective.

Coleman, Davalilo, and Smalley will also be able to help out. Not bad.

It's actually 1911 Charlie Smith, and I am just fine with that. He's going to be extremely effective.

Mhogan is one of the litany of cookie-team-submitters. This team of his isn't quite as bad as most though I'm sure it will win 100 games by virtue of being an Mhogan team.

"Mathewson pitched against Cincinnati yesterday. Another way of putting it is that Cincinnati lost a game of baseball."
To be fair, both mhogan and ligapelota have worse championship to team ratios than AV and I do, and considering they play all OLs with cookie teams and we don't, that's not really that great of a thing. Unlike some dipshits (cough grizzly and gbonini cough), they tend to build balanced 90-100 win teams and not fatigue strategy postseason wrecking balls.
