Kind of don't like that they jumped the gun by naming a season two episode "The North Remembers". I imagine it was done to appeal to fans of the book series specifically, but I can't think of a specific context in book two where this title would be appropriate.

Protesting against killing her and quitting the council was one of the (stupid?) things Ned did.

Rurik posted:That's not entirely the actress' fault. Much of Dany's personality in the first book came from her being 13 - a child, despite her, ehm, quick growing into an adult under Drogo's, ehm, treatment. The actress looks like she's 18 or 20. So imagine her portraying the thoughts and feelings of the book's Dany. "Laa lee laa the house with the red door I just wanna play with the nice people and that my big bro stopped being mean to me. " A perfectly normal mindset for a 13-year-old girl, but if someone as adult looking as the selected actress were portrayed like that, she'd seem retarded. Though considering the Targaryen gene pool, that would've been both plausible and funny. It's actually odd that the Targareyns produce such beautiful children given they've been loving each other for centuries. I really wish GRRM had addressed this issue in the books. Maybe it's magic?

Octy posted:I can't remember or indeed think of any conceivable reason why Tyrion left Westeros to go wherever he is now, but he must be trying to court Dany. That's stupid. You're stupid for thinking that. Tyrion went East because he had no connections or allies left in the public sphere of Westeros (part of the Lannisters, thought to have murdered King Joffrey, known to some to have murdered his own father). However he is a sharp political mind and understands a lot about the politics of Westeros, especially the current climate. Between that and his "knowledge" about dragons, he's betting he'd be a strong member of Dany's council. Even if she orders him dead he'll get to see dragons and cool worldly poo poo before he dies. I'm sure he's not opposed to shacking up with Dany if she takes a fancy to him for whatever reason, but he's experienced and cynical enough to know that there's next to no possibility of that happening. jazz babies posted:...except I'm okay with not having to drag through Davos' chapters anymore. No way she'd trade a dragon for something. That's like magically finding three flamethrowing jets in Roman-Britain, no matter how bad poo poo gets you wouldn't trade that ridiculously huge advantage off, and those flamethrowing jets are easily your key to muscling more money out of some poor saps.

I heard she wore her Star of David super prominently in that series. It's appalling to me that DC is allowing Liefield to continue his "work."
