Problem!

I am the queen of France.
This week has been lovely due to some rear end in a top hat in Switzerland stealing my debit card number and forcing me to freeze my bank account leaving me with $8 in my wallet and less than a quarter tank of gas (and no bank branches within 4 hours of here).

However!

Today I got my new debit card in the mail! Just in time too, I was down to $1 and my gas light was on.

Today is payday!

I woke up at 4:45am and headed to the gym. I worked on squat form/flexibility, did the rest of my sets then ran a mile and a quarter. Afterwards I got a yummy americano and a breakfast bagel. Now I'm full, feel good from working out and it is Friday. I love days like today.

Today I bought tickets to go see Les Mis when it comes to San Francisco. The tickets are absolutely amazing, 11 rows back, and right on the center aisle. They were significantly less expensive for seats around them too, but I think that's because There were 3 seats available, which, being an odd number, probably is a harder quantity to sell. Luckily, I'm taking 2 other people (who have never seen it before!!) so the three seats works out perfectly. This will be my third time seeing it, but my first with the new stage and production. It's a little over 5 months away but I am indescribably excited about this.

Cleaned my room, put a TV in there, and added a bunch of old Nintendo consoles fished from the depths of moving boxes.
I've got an NES, SNES, N64, and a Gamecube. I've never played an NES or an N64 so I'm pretty excited about that.

Agreed, it's been mid 70s where I live with a nice breeze and it's amazing. I'm afraid that summer this year is going to be brutal, though. Regardless, it's nice dog walking weather as is. :3:

I'm moving out today (parents will be here with the Uhaul in about an hour) but I just might miss it here a little...

After graduating university in December and not being able to find a decent job, I got an interview this coming Tuesday with CP Rail for a really good job. This morning I was woken up by a call from the Bylaw department with my city offering me a permanent, long term job (I did some work for them last summer). So if the CP Rail job doesn't turn out, I'm pretty much guaranteed a job that I can make a career out of!

Also, it was a snowy and windy day, which I love and we haven't gotten nearly enough of this winter!

I expected to have a boring, sad Friday night but I ended up going out and meeting a bunch of new people who spent the whole night boosting my ego :) it was my first time ever being at a bar for last call and everyone joined in singing "don't stop believin". It was hilarious.

As for today: family, lash tinting and sangrias. Enough said.

Asked a girl I know out on a date after debating whether or not I should for a few months now. Things could go probably go either way with her, but it feels good to get it off my chest nonetheless.

Feeling hopeful and relieved!

Nice! This is the best way to go about it. Not knowing is a lot worse than being rejected, at least you can move on. Good luck, man!

Also, I've been seeing a girl every other weekend for a little over a month now (we live 4 hours apart right now), and this weekend I asked her to be my girlfriend. She said yes! Today, she told me she's stopping through on her way back from spring break for a night! I'd been single for over two years and, as fun as it is, it's nice to have a girl in the picture now. Not to mention she's great in bed :pervert:

I found out I have celiac disease just the other day. This sounds like a bad thing, but going gluten-free is actually pretty easy, especially when both me and my mom love to cook things ourselves. The best part is that I feel better than I have in years just by avoiding wheat, barley, and rye products since Sunday. I had no idea people felt this good normally! :)

Its been 70 degrees for two days so there is no more ice anywhere. My motorcycle had its 600 mile first service so I can thrash it now. Got Mass Effect 3 for free and still have 48 bux in credit after trading in 6 games I never use. I ran 5 miles and got a sunburn on march 6th. Great day off.

It's my older brother's birthday, and it's always good to hear from him. Sounds like he's having a good one.

Wanted to avoid slacking today and was somehow able to roll out of bed and get the taxes done with the wife. We're getting more than $1300 back! Just about the time her laptop is giving up the ghost. It has been backing itself up for the last few days, unaware that its day is coming to an end.

This productivity and windfall calls for sexy time.

E: and then many more cool things happened, including finally getting cable, finishing a 1000 piece puzzle (and thereby getting the coffee table back), and getting groceries and a DVD rental all for free thanks to coupons. Best day in ages.

Even though it's the shortest day of the year, it's felt really long so far. Got good sleep (overnight and a nice afternoon nap), church was great, saw Cal get into the NCAA Tournament (kinda), and got errands and random tasks done. Work will be so boring compared to this weekend.

Why do you consider today the shortest day of the year?

when they're yours you'll love them
Seven months ago, I got a persistent cold that didn't go away for a long time. Then when it finally did go away, I started sleeping for 23 hours a day and woke up exhausted. This went on for two weeks and I was starting to panic thinking I had something weird with an unknown etiology and possibly a psychosomatic component. I went to our local (lovely) emergency room, and they offered zero help except for a useless followup suggestion with a doctor whose receptionist gave my husband a list of things they "don't believe in" (everything from painkillers to MMJ to a number of proven postviral conditions to SSRIs). When my husband got misdiagnosed with viral meningitis a month later, I figured that must have been it and as in most cases of VM I'd just gotten over it. This was a bit of a relief, but when it turned out he'd just ruptured his spine and it wasn't VM, I started wondering if the fatigue was going to come back - and maybe worse than the first time.

Tonight I was tracking progression of my lupus, and hey, turns out it was just a lupus flareup! It just threw me for a loop because I hadn't had that before.

It seems weird to think this is awesome, but it really did make my day. I know how to advocate for appropriate treatment if it happens again, even if I have to go to the lovely local ER. It's a hell of a lot easier to deal with my slowly-progressing lupus than "oh, I might sleep 24/7 randomly for a really long time and screw my life."

Showed up to work 2 hours late expecting to be fired, turns out no one even knew, so i got paid for those two hours. Found a five dollar bill on the ground, spent that and more on beer during my lunch break, then left work an hour early and got paid for that hour as well. Went to the bar and played gangster rap on the jukebox until the bartender turned the jukebox off (this is a bar that plays primarily country music). Ran into an old pot dealer of mine who offered to buy me all the booze i could drink, but the bartender told us I was way too drunk and i needed to leave. I don't blame him, by that point i could barely walk. Dodged about a million bullets today, tomorrow i will clean my act up, maybe.

I had a rough first couple of days this week so I think karma decided to make up for it the past day or so.

-I signed up for a CSA for the first time and I get my first box next Friday
-My staff meeting yesterday, which is normally brutal, was a movie party
-I got asked out by someone I was sure I'd never hear back from
-I finally got my bike fixed up so once the weather clears next week I can start biking to work, which I'm really excited about
-I put on almost 10lbs while in a relationship and I have almost completely lost it all since it ended a few weeks back

Also, it started raining and its my favorite time of year :) rain is so wonderful

My life is turning around. For the first time since I went through a rough patch in life, I am gaining back my motivation, little by little. I want to do the things that I loved doing again, like playing guitar and drawing. I re-opened my online food diary so I could focus on being healthy again instead of filling my body with crap.

I'm on top of most of my work.

I realized I have really great friends. They looked out for me and had my back when another friend with a questionable agenda was trying to hide something from me. They actually got angry at her on my behalf (although I wasn't nearly as upset as they were). It may not seem like a lot but after years of having lovely, immature friends that did nothing but put me down and steal my stuff, it feels good to know that I have at least 3 friends I can really trust.

I wrote a kind but firm response to my grandmother after she sent me two emails guilting me for being a lesbian. I may never change her mind about me but at least she knows I love her, and am not a miserable, sinful deviant ( I actually enjoy every minute of it).

A little over a year ago some idiot tried to beat me and a buddy across a 4-way intersection, he was on the opposing lane with a red light and we had green so the moron decided to make a left turn into our path.

Today, I was talking with my attorney and he told me the douche bag at the fly-by-night insurance company of the idiot I just mentioned finally caved to his demands.

He made him an offer he could not refuse.
