Intentionally ambiguous. It's entirely reasonable to see that flash and think it stopped on Just right before Slick hit it with the crowbar.

The Bootstrap Paradox is a paradox under conventional linear time because it violates one of the implicit conditions of linear time, which is that every cause must precede its effects.

But the Bootstrap Paradox only concerns events involving non-linear time! It's like saying it's impossible for me to drive 100 kph because I can't run that fast.

I have a feeling the real reason why Kanaya's so sore about Gamzee is because he's hoarding all the tasty rainbow blood to himself and probably wasting it on paint.

The thing about paradoxes is you classify them based on why they're illogical. So, yes, exactly.

Nice to get a healthy dose of dialogue. I'm curious if we'll get to sit in in this briefing, and if the use of the word 'annual' is meant to indicate we'll be stopping in twice more during the journey to see what they've unearthed.

It's good that Kanaya and Rose are working together to figure a few things out before arriving in the new universe. It might be unreasonable to expect everyone to be doing push-ups and combat drills (especially considering how abstract the power levels appear to be in Homestuck), but at least a little preparation is nice.

Also, is it me or do they look a smidgen older? A little bit taller, maybe? I guess I'm looking for it since they're 14 now, but once they reach the new universe I can only assume there'll be a few significant visual differences. I just hope they're washing their god-clothes regularly, or they're going to funk pretty bad for the rest of the adventure.

If I were Hussie I'd make a point of it to blow an insignificant amount of money (compared to what the comic generates regularly) on something I always wanted from my childhood too.

Like buy an entire crate of Jawbreakers and try to recreate this:
