Watched breaking dawn and the riff was fantastic. I think the quality of the riff directly correlates to the quality of the film so this was the best one since the first Twilight because things happened. Hilarious, weird things.

This is funny because thanks to Rifftrax I've seen more Twilight than most (any?) of my peers and have had to catch myself before commenting on it before. It's like being a superhero not revealing himself except I'm a normal person who can't reveal I've followed a lovely teen romance drama. Oh god the burden :negative:

I only wished that I'd had Netflix when the Rifftrax for Crossroads came out. The only consolation is that the Hollywood Video I rented it from is gone and, hopefully, any evidence of said transaction.

edit: Google said he did commentaries for the first two, then a commentary for Eclipse with Kristen Stewart (so probably not funny) and nothing for Breaking Dawn, Part I. Now, time to go erase my browser history and pretend this never happened.

Most of "Salvation"'s dialogue is lifted wholesale out of the previous "Terminator" movies anyways.

So are the newer shorts ("Alcohol", "Cooks and Chefs", "Sailing a Boat") less depressing than the previous batch we got?

The last two ain't, but Alcohol is borderline into that range. While the Cooks short literally goes nowhere in the end.

I mean this honestly when I say you really can't go wrong with any of the shorts. They pretty much always deliver. They are my favorite part of the entire Rifftrax catalog.

That being said here's a dozen that I believe are above and beyond. In no specific order. Also the names may not be exactly right because I'm doing it off the top of my head from my phone. Down and Out was already mentioned, but it would be in my list too if it hadn't been.

Shake Hands with Danger
Setting up a Room
Drugs Are Like That
David and Hazel
What is Nothing?
Grasses
Improving Pronunciation
One Got Fat
Moose Baby
Three Magic Words
The Trouble with Women
How to Use a Calendar

I downloaded Setting Up A Room yesterday without knowing what I was in for. I recommend it wholeheartedly, especially if you're into the way a lot of these shorts are like cultural artifacts of a different era.

Molly Grows Up
Flying Stewardesses
Families: Food and Eating
Beginning Responsibility: Taking Care Of Your Own Things
Magical Disappearing Money
William's Doll
Kittens: Birth and Growth
Drawing For Beginners: The Rectangle
A Visit To Santa
Christmas Dream

I forgot about this one, but it's also amazing. Especially for the kid that is the main character, who fits the part too well. "Reggie has no idea that this is staged, right?" "Remember, set the bar so low so that people will be amazed when you accidentally stumble over it".
