They must not have stopped having him to do it after the first one then, because Jacob's hair is cut in that screenshot, and didn't he not get it cut until the second movie? Oh god what have I become

Watched breaking dawn and the riff was fantastic. I think the quality of the riff directly correlates to the quality of the film so this was the best one since the first Twilight because things happened. Hilarious, weird things.

Deadpool posted:Wow. And there it is. You've been converted. You're one of them now. This is funny because thanks to Rifftrax I've seen more Twilight than most (any?) of my peers and have had to catch myself before commenting on it before. It's like being a superhero not revealing himself except I'm a normal person who can't reveal I've followed a lovely teen romance drama. Oh god the burden

I've had a few people ask me if I've seen Twilight before when I comment on how awful it is. "I watched it with a funny audio commentary called Rifftrax. Ever hear of MST3K? .. No? Oh.."

I only wished that I'd had Netflix when the Rifftrax for Crossroads came out. The only consolation is that the Hollywood Video I rented it from is gone and, hopefully, any evidence of said transaction.

I've watched several really lovely movies more times than movies I actually like 'thanks' to Rifftrax. I really did not need to be able to quote Terminator fuckin' Salvation, but there you go. "This thing is pissing me off!" gently caress you, Sam Worthington. You're lousy.

Most of "Salvation"'s dialogue is lifted wholesale out of the previous "Terminator" movies anyways. So are the newer shorts ("Alcohol", "Cooks and Chefs", "Sailing a Boat") less depressing than the previous batch we got?

New short today: http://www.rifftrax.com/shorts/danger-keep-out I just watched it, and I'm calling it a must buy. Some absolute GOLD lines. I mean this honestly when I say you really can't go wrong with any of the shorts. They pretty much always deliver. They are my favorite part of the entire Rifftrax catalog. That being said here's a dozen that I believe are above and beyond. In no specific order. Also the names may not be exactly right because I'm doing it off the top of my head from my phone. Down and Out was already mentioned, but it would be in my list too if it hadn't been. Shake Hands with Danger Setting up a Room Drugs Are Like That David and Hazel What is Nothing? I downloaded Setting Up A Room yesterday without knowing what I was in for. I recommend it wholeheartedly, especially if you're into the way a lot of these shorts are like cultural artifacts of a different era. If you need to know more, they made a fantastic skit about it, too!

The Shorts are an amazing value. I get more out of those than with the feature-length riffs, and have used them to get more friends into Rifftrax. I'd have to add a few more to the Must See list: Molly Grows Up Flying Stewardesses Families: Food and Eating Beginning Responsibility: Taking Care Of Your Own Things Magical Disappearing Money William's Doll Kittens: Birth and Growth Drawing For Beginners: The Rectangle A Visit To Santa Christmas Dream Safety: Harm Hides At Home Tragedienne fucked around with this message at 06:30 on Mar 16, 2012 |
