We might not see whomever's in the next dream-bubble, since it might just be a way to end this scene and transition to the next. Or, if we see them, it might just be a glimpse to imply a significant meeting without really getting into specifics (dead Vriska and beta-John, for example). I don't know if it's been established yet whether John and Jade visit the dream bubbles when they sleep, but if they do it might be interesting for the two groups to cross paths once a year or so.

The story has been read with favorable comments by, among many others: A retired admiral in the United States Navy; a highly regarded software engineer and gentleman cattle rancher who is also a permanent deacon in the Catholic Church; and an American Protestant missionary in Honduras. I re-posted the comments of the last on my site from his own. The story is published on one of the most conservative online publications, in terms of what they will accept regarding sex, violence and profanity. It also received a favorable comment from the editor of *Asimov’s Science Fiction*, one of the three major American SF magazines. Although I have advertised the story frequently on the site on which you have seen it—in its American, European, Canadian and rest of the world advertising sections—I am far from being one of the largest and most frequent advertisers on the owner’s website/forum. The owner of the website chooses to accept *paid* ads and, since his site is free access, I fail to see why anyone would object. That is strictly his decision, and one of the myriad benefits of living in a free society is that one is free to ignore any ad that does not interest him or her. All advertising is a numbers game. Only a small percentage of those who encounter an ad will be interested even in cases, such as mine, where the "product" is entirely free. However, I have received several thousand hits from this and other websites to date. Therefore, some are obviously interested, which too is their choice. There are people still who actually enjoy reading, and this is free (and, by the way, with no ads). As to how I make my money from my ads for the story, the answer is simple: I don’t. On the contrary, I pay to promote the story because I am passionate about the story’s subject matter of school bullying. After I read a wire service account of a thirteen-year-old (13!) boy who had taken his own life after years of having endured bullying in school, I decided to write a thinly-veiled personal memoir of my own experiences as a kid in school in the hope of warning parents of what their youngsters might be hiding from them...and why. If it serves to save just one child years of totally *unnecessary* misery (because he or she keeps his or her mouth shut from an unwarranted sense of shame), then it will have been worth writing and promoting. Additionally, although it is very much of the "message literature" ilk, it is also, I believe, worth reading simply as literature. It invokes a science fiction device encompassing the Many-Worlds Interpretation of quantum mechanics and quantum immortality. However, it remains first and foremost an expose regarding school bullying and its ramifications for its victims and is exceedingly poignant, as many have remarked. Writing is an avocation for me, not a vocation. I am a businessman which is how I "make my money." "Pride’s Prison" is a labor of love promoted from my own pocket. I do not solicit or accept donations, and I have refused kind offers of free advertising; though I do greatly appreciate the several people who have linked to my website and story from their SN sites at my request. My only goal is for the story to reach as many as possible to benefit the sort of kid that I once was so many years ago now. In more than one way, the story is timeless. Some things never change. Trying to make an avatar of the full SUPLEX sequence: I think this looks okay, but I didn't get Dave in the final frame.  IMO this looks worse, though. The sense of motion between tha last frames is gone. Tried scaling the whole thing down:  Seems okay visually, although the timing should possibly be changed a bit.

Don, just to clarify what I meant in the post that brought you here: I am in fact German and the reason I reached for the phrase "neonazi poo poo" is your prominent use of the word "volksdeutsch" in your ads. That word is a massive red (-white-and-black) flag. As implied in that post, I hadn't actually clicked the ad (partly because, seriously, that's a really creepy word) and so wasn't terribly well aware of the story's precise content or originator; it's evident that what I said got to you, so I'm sorry for that.

Two of the rungs on Jake's echeladder form a url (something about green guys and blue girls) that directs to Jake's intro page. Someone registered the part with the ".com" that shows up on one of the rungs and pointed it at a Homestuck porn tumblr. After it was mentioned here someone came in and said "hey that's my blog" and got banned. It was back during a Jake update, something about ceruleanbabes.com or something. It was pointed out that it redirected to this super awful and creepy tumblr I think, and then some guy showed up in the thread and said "oh yeah I own that." Guy gets banned, then someone else showed up protesting the ban, and I can't remember what happened after that. It was weird.

Erasure, you spent ten dollars for the most ironic title possible to do this with.  For everyone else, in case it isn't obvious, please don't bring up stupid poo poo. I think this thread has been pretty low drama, it is best for everyone if it stays that way. Radiation says all the track art has been finalized, so hopefully we will be getting the album soon. I hope Hussie decides to go back on his word about the official albums and pick the pace back up on them, since it's been forever since I've had a chance to give them my money.
