This is improbable? Is there some kind of thing with English that means you'd always pronounce the "d" in "and" if you dropped the "h" in his?

Durkon's accent is referred to as improbable early in the comic.

Surprisingly enough no. I don't know much more than the basics of D&D, is someone about to post a detailed essay explaining the rules about how accent varies with height? If so I will bow to their superior knowledge.

It's different for every item, but suffice to say that the red dot is the initial "concept" solidifying in my mind, the yellow is the planning or ordering, and the green is the production (whether by me in the form of comic pages or by a printer).

So as you can see, according to the chart the Roy Greenhilt magnets have been produced, while the participation patches are just entering production and colouring books are mostly printed.

The point is that when you're dealing with an epic level illusionist, you should take essentially nothing at face value. They might have faded, they might have never existed, they might all be subject to one of them now and not know it.

That might very well have just been paranoia or an extra safety precaution. If a spell ran out at noon, you might want to have someone go out and renew it a few minutes before noon just so it doesn't fade out for any length of time.

I'm skeptical that Girard is actually dead, even though the Order is being directly faced with a body. Girard was of comparable age to Dorukan, who was old but healthy until relatively recently. And epic spellcasters in particular ought to have access to all manner of life-extending magic or feats. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for him to have died a natural death 20 years ago. It's not out of the question, but it's something that's highly suspicious at the very least.

Roy ought to be aware of this (he's been perceptive so far in this arc), and so should Rich Burlew. It's not easy circumventing such magic, especially without Vaarsuvius, and even if you know you're being subjected to it. What's more likely is that the Order has successfully penetrated the fading illusions of the now-dead Draketooth family members; think of that as a first line of defense. Without the Familicide spell, even that would have been an accomplishment, seeing as how even the lesser Draketooths appear to have included multiple 16th+ level sorcerers. However, they haven't started seeing through (or necessarily even finding) Girard's own illusions.
