Goes hard with a G-Funk vibe to the beat. I wonder what release it's going to be on, I doubt he'd be throwing out something from the album this early.

Edit: The clean version isn't bad either (let it run on and it plays automatically)

He said it was his first single so... hopefully 4evanaday was the first part of his album promotional push, and this is a follow-up.

To be fair, Gangsta Pat wasn't the first to use that beat either, and many many people have used that sample (Michael Jackson's "Lady in My Life" from Thriller) such as 3 6 Mafia "Porno Movie"). I know it is the beat Gangsta Pat used for "I Wanna Smoke" but not like "Porno Movie" is even a real departure. Some people have done some amazing things with the first 30 seconds of that song though. Thank you for hipping me to Key Nyata though

Yea you're right actually, we're only like 3 months from release. Boobie Miles got released a couple of months before 4evanaday didn't it?

Have we seen the artwork for Live From The Underground yet? The cover for 4ND was released with Boobie Miles.

it's such a great sample that just slowing it up and laying some drums makes for a classic beat

as an aside I'm relatively certain that there's no version of Pimp C's verse over the OG Swang beat w/ sample intact but if I'm wrong please let me know!

yeah for anyone who hasnt checked out that new lil ugly mane go grab that its great. hazed-out beats, got that old 3-6 sound with a modern twist, bit of a screw infuence. i dont really like spaceghost if that makes any difference, this guy is leagues above so check him out even if u dont ike spaceghost.

I'm trying real hard to keep my fanboy levels for TI up but drat.

http://www.hiphopdx.com/index/singles/id.18855/title.ti-i-need-dollas

Only line in this song I'll remember is "got a mill on his mind dollar bill at a time".

I'm Flexin and to a lesser extent We Don't Get Down Like Yall came hard. If my man falls off I feel like I'm abandoning the rap game for a few years. You can preach Gibbs or Krit all day but Thug without the Swag doesn't make for good music and honestly they're not my personal friends so being a thug can only carry them so far (Like Saigon for example). It might be less rhythmic but I can talk to 99% of the people in my day to day life and get a more gangster story relaying the last 24 of their life than entire albums of real thug rap artists who lack that musical flare. When will artists understand? If I appreciate a story of cane dealing and shootouts well motherfucker you're my goddamn escape when I spark up. Feel free to spit about thug poo poo but bring some complication to your rhyme scheme and some complexity to your flow. I'm not even mentioning your production. This poo poo bother more than normal cause it's like dude you're TI out of prison...You have at least a MINIMAL level of selection regarding your beats...and you bring THIS poo poo. gently caress you then man I've followed since before bonecrushers' fatass noticed you. the Narduwar interview with ASAP Rocky really reminded me how much I like exploring the lives of the members of some of these weirder crews to try to see what they're like. For the most part, the guys tend to be weed carriers/aspiring rappers or singers, and then once in a while you get some poo poo like Lil Debbie from Kreayshawn's "crew" where you get to see what spoiled juvenile delinquents grow into.

i heard him on sgp album and wanted to check him but a couple songs i listened to on youtube were just lame as heck so i didn't really give his other stuff any mind (and he looks kinda like a nerd iirc which doesn't help). but i gave his new album a try and it's just wild. most evil thing i've listened to in awhile, production is surprisingly good and he's actually adding a lot to it (which is sometimes the problem with sgp). i don't know if i'd say he's leagues above sgp but i'd say this album is maybe leagues above anything sgp's done. year's early but i'd be surprised if there's 5 better albums this year (and that's considering there's already been 1 better)

Hate to come across as an MMG shill but they're really putting out some hot poo poo nowadays. Stalley was a cat I was checkin for after Lincoln Way Nights. Just got a chance to hear some joints off Savage Journey To The American Dream. The beats from Block Beattaz are HOT. That poo poo slaps real hard man. Sometimes his flow throws me off a bit but I'll be damned if it ain't a good project. Heard Ross might sign Block Beattaz to MMG too, that would be a dope move. They made Wale a #1 album. Stalley isn't someone whose name has cache but I can see this album being hot on a slow burn. No links but check for it.
