What's going on here is that Aranea is the original (A1) trollverse's version of the person who, in A2, became Mindfang, and Mindfang is the one she's saying lived thousands of sweeps before Terezi, Vriska, and all the others. (Which we more or less already knew, although I would have guessed "hundreds".) It seems like she might be about to tell Terezi a thing or two about what happened with the A1 session's Scratch. (And just for clarification's sake: Terezi doesn't get this because, like everyone else in the main cast, she has no idea the A2 troll session was the outcome of a Scratch.) Remember when ya'll were flipping out over this girl having short hair and jumping to the conclusion that she was obviously the future child of Vriska and John  ?I'm pretty sure the last few lines just refer to the fact that she came before the scratch. She's a kid on Alternia playing the rad new game SGRUB, they scratch the game through whatever shenanigans, and she already knows what consequences happened because of that. As in, the resetting of billions of years of history and the switch between players.

She seems to have a much clearer view of what's going on than Meenah (who appeared to have no idea there even were other troll players to know about), so probably she's been dead much longer, subjectively. I think this may finally be the one time in Homestuck where I actually understand everything that's being said and a protagonist doesn't. Also, Aranea = spider/spider's web in latin. I'm guessing most of the A1 trolls will have really literally translated names, if both Meenah and Teen Mindfang here are anything to go by.

I'm going through withdrawal here. I need a new album. Not this fan-music thing, although I'm sure it's going to be great, but what I'm really looking forward to is Volume 9. I don't get how some people go without buying the music, I've been collecting pretty much all the main ones so far. As far as Homestuck goes for me, the music is first and the comic second. Also, I remember there was a program someone made (probably on the mspa forums somewhere) that you would point to your music folder which would redo the tags on all the Homestuck music and update them to have the actual artists' names who produced each individual song rather than just "Homestuck". Does anyone know where I can find that?

I think you may be giving the fans a bit too little credit, considering that a lot of the music team were fan musicians themselves at one point. Despite attempts to denote "Offical" and "Unoffical" albums, the line between fanmusic and non-fanmusic can be razor thin at points, and the main part of Cascade itself was originally a fansong. And I daresay Witc)(ing )(our totally sounds like something one would hear on an actual Volume album. (Speaking of albums WHERE IS IT HUSSIE )
