I'd say one of the lesser ones. Not really Matthew J. Elliot (who I dislike) or Stratton/Varney (who are actually kinda decent) levels. But definitely a lesser riff.

Oh jesus, just started Frankenstein Island, and when they made a comment about "Cameron Mitchell, with or without Santa Claus beard"...I had to do a double take until I realized who the gently caress they were talking about.

Captain Santa Claus from Space Mutiny is in this loving movie. With Batwoman. And Carradine.

Epic does not begin to describe my excitement. And I'm only 5 minutes in.

A few people have asked so just to clarify, our upcoming "Manos" The Hands of Fate live show with Fathom is unrelated to the HD-restoration of "Manos" fronted by Ben Solovey. His project is still going on, looks fantastic and information is available here. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1325482813/manos-the-restoration

As it is, our version for the Fathom show is a very nice theatrical print (I'm quite sure you'll prefer it over the available VHS versions) but IS NOT his print.

When his immaculate restored print becomes available, I will be one of the first in line to get it! (I will be dressed as Torgo in an attempt to curry favor. But then so will everyone else in line, including the women.)

Well, at least they know to capitalize when interest is high.

It would have been preferable if they waited until things were more set in stone so they could do the HD version.

Who knows if we have the full story. There might be some reason why they can't, like there's some legal tangle that prevents the HD copy from being shown in theater venues.

Well of course we don't have the full story, but I guess I assumed Ben Solo has ownership of the HD version and so can license it out to this sort of thing, but who knows.

Having now seen Mesa of Lost Women, I can see what Jackie Coogan was getting about trying to make women like Tarantella. Wow.

Also it's yet another example of one of those films pieced together from bits and pieces of other films.
