I absolutely hate that headlight. Two weeks ago, there was a streetfighter R6 that was parked outside of a coffeehouse I was in, with its rear facing me. Looked awesome as hell until I walked around to the front.

"Converted into Streetfighter/supermoto" Just another way of saying i've crashed my bike and am trying to get back way too much money for it. If I didn't already have a K1200 i'd probably pick this up: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/mcy/2938446368.html Low 48k miles, bike is mainly garaged or covered New metzler marathon 880s with about 1500 miles on them Tuneup with timing belt change done around October Also did front fork seals about that time Runs very well, maintained at Werkstatt Looks very good for 21 years Comes with hardbags and tankbag Here's what is not perfect about it: heated handgrips need to be repaired - around 300 bucks It has 3 cosmetic flaws. One touch up on the tank, a touch up on the back and on the front fairing. It's priced to move today. Check out the pictures; it looks great. 1550 OBO Call Abe 415 994 5028

Those alien face headlights sell for $130. For around $40 you can get 7 inch headlight that mounts to the forks. Someone could clean up if they put the words streetfighter and supermoto in their listings.

A particular gen (no idea which) VFR 17" front wheel slots straight in with no mods needed. e: Visordown sez: "The 16” front wheel feels a little odd and limits tyre choice but the 1998 VFR750F-V wheel goes straight in without spacers if you want to change it."

In addition to that, there were small problems such as: -no rear brake caliper -no front master cylinder or brake lever -toasted tires and sprockets -"modded" wiring harness -leaky fork seals and -tweaked forks -rusty tank (Turns out the new tank was the lovely blue one that had been spray bombed black. With one coat. Poorly.) -broken fairing stay -random crash damage etc.,etc.,etc. I offered him 200 bucks, he didn't bite

Anyone have any experience with these bikes? Thinking about going to check this one out on Sunday... http://longisland.craigslist.org/mcy/2891428506.html EDIT: I guess my biggest concern would be the aftermarket bars he put on. I'm looking at the 650r because it's a bit more of a standard than a sportbike (at least, from what I can gather about it, but I could be wrong), so these sport bars aren't exactly what I'm looking for - but my biggest concern is whether or not they've been installed correctly. Anything in particular I should look for regarding alignment and full-lock? The Saboteur fucked around with this message at 06:46 on Apr 7, 2012 |

The Saboteur posted:Anyone have any experience with these bikes? Thinking about going to check this one out on Sunday... Bars don't affect alignment. They'll only screw up going lock-to-lock if they hit the tank or something so just turn them both ways.

This bike is a real head turner. women will frequently ask for rides on it. The best thing about the bike is that once you give a woman a ride on it, she's more then willing to give you a ride. The 88 cubic inch S&S motor, combined with the Vance and Hines pipes produce a VERY pleasant auditory growl.that sets the mood. The vibrations they produce so closely match the natural frequency of a woman's nether regions that it's been known to give the passenger multiple orgasms. Luckily, the leather seat is moisture resistant. Be sure you've got a strong back if you're considering this bike because she'll be such a quivering mess after your ride that you'll have to carry her inside.
