Do they actually think anyone who cares enough about their site and company to watch the stream doesn't already own Fallout?

I don't have Fallout through GOG, so this is good news for me!

^^^^ announcing free Fallout does that. All I know is that I'm getting a free backup of Witcher 2. I'm happy with that. vvvv that's a correct summary, yes.

So what was all the stuff that happened? I didn't catch the stream, but from you guys' comments it sounds like free Fallout, Mac version of Witcher, a backup copy of Witcher 2 on GOG (?), and DRM-free Ubisoft games?

Didn't in the past they give people who already own a promo game a alternative freebie or something?
|
# ? Apr 5, 2012 19:01 |

It's funny, I already own 3 copies of AC1 now (original PS3 copy, a Steam copy someone gifted me not realizing I had the PS3 version, and a bonus PS3 copy that came with AC Revelations), but I'd be tempted to pick up the GOG version during a sale by itself just for the lack of DRM and PREMIUM GOODIES. I'm still hoping that the rest of the AC series makes its way onto the service, because I know a lot of people who'd give their firstborn for a legal DRM-free version of AC2 or AC:B for PC.

And now server maintenance so you can't download the free game you probably owned already. The omega trolls. e: wait, that was just a weird blip or something. dammit, that would have been a perfect troll capstone

Okay, so how does one go about telling GOG that I own Witcher 2 on Steam? I'd love a DRM free installer for the game, but I'm not in the habit of saving my Steam emailed receipts for longer than a week or two. Will they take a screenshot of my Steam transaction history?

I'd be more excited about DRM-free Ubisoft games if they'd actually made any good games whatsoever in the past five years or so.

Sure, in a few years. They threw AssCreed1 in there because they know it will just generate new sales; they assume nobody is bothering to pirate it anymore. Now, newer games, that is a different story. UselessLurker posted:I'd be more excited about DRM-free Ubisoft games if they'd actually made any good games whatsoever in the past five years or so. You should be able to right-click the game in your Steam library and it'll have a "CD-key(s)" option. Go plug that into GOG. Where on GOG, I don't know.
