edit: Wait, "Father, Can't You See I'm Burning?" is loving incredible, though its length could have been trimmed down a bit. 6 and a half minutes is too long for this one. Still, I wish all 12 tracks on the album could have been like this. This is so drat awesome.

I really do not care for High Contrast in the slightest - I think all of his stuff is pretty boring honestly. But Father, Can't You See I'm Burning is one hell of a dnb song. That second drop with the screams is incredibly badass.

What does it for me is No One's Listening Anymore, partly due to nostalgia goggles I guess - but the album in it's entirety comes together in such an amazing way, no track feels out of place or forced. Hands down the best DnB-album of all time in my opinion.

I've got a good amount of mellow, chill-out atmospheric liquid-type dnb but after listening to Hold Your Colour again i'm really wanting more of the electronic, danceable, upbeat, high energy stuff.

Gold Dust and Girl in the Fire come to mind but they're really all I can think of. And of course DJ fresh doesn't really have anything else like it and pendulum really doesn't either

To be honest I don't like these that much but at least I know why - all three use that same type of sustained synth, the one that wobbles a bit through each measure and then changes pitch. Plus they're all pretty dark sounding.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj4naPiyH8-gdG92UVJweVdEVENpR01NTVpHTzhOUFE

This is the last purge of promos from my collection. If you see anything you are interested in, drop me a PM or email me [r4ns0m (at) gmail]. I can post it on the SA-Mart too, if necessary. Shipping in the U.S. is inexpensive thanks to USPS Media Mail, but if you're outside of the states it is expensive.

Just like the last time I did this, I have been replacing some of the promos with their full-release versions.

Eric Prydz - Niton (The Reason) (Sigma Remix) & Eric Prydz - Pjanoo (High Contrast Remix)

Huge Prydz fanboy, wanna fight about it? These mixes are melodic while not feeling too mellow, still driving hard.

Is it Evol Intent / Reso? Because if it's still that tour, it might not be all of Evol Intent. When I went to see them last month, it ended up being just Gigantor, and not all three of them.

I read this and my mind jumped to Cyantific- Be True which is another great one.

I've thought about selling of my collection because it's at my parents' house while I'm overseas, but I can't do it. I have a bunch of Prototype releases like Planet Dust and some rare promos and stuff like Drumagick's Easy Boom. I just can't do it.

Edit: And I've been out of DnB for a few years and have just come back to a more simple drum and bass that I was missing. I love it! I didn't see anyone linked it here but tracks like BTK & Optiv - Zero Hour really are pulling me back in. Grooves are back.
