Tree's Sunday School tape has a bunch of soulful production and has a cross-regional sound like A$AP's. Blu has a bunch of chill stuff, but he throws tapes up and takes them down with no rhyme or reason, so it can be hard to track down. Nujabes made a bunch of really chill stuff.

Haha, asking Weezy "Why don't you go back to your Carter 2 flow, which everyone agrees was better" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuBzXQVRr6E Cam'ron also released a bunch of songs recently. http://www.thefader.com/2012/04/19/camron-is-releasing-a-song-every-day/ Still no Dipset reunion, but they're ok. I recommend Money Money Money.

UP AND ADAM posted:Haha, asking Weezy "Why don't you go back to your Carter 2 flow, which everyone agrees was better" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuBzXQVRr6E I'd agree that he's gotten better at rapping, meaning his flow has become more effortless, but I wouldn't say it's a good thing, especially when his lyrical content is largely the same. Barring a few remixes here and there C2 was pretty much the last time he spit with any sort of depth or complexity. Not that the short punches and hashtag flows can't be entertaining sometimes, but compare Tha Mobb to the C4 Intro and there's a pretty big drop-off in quality. In other news, the GOOD Music remix of that Chief Keef joint dropped and it's fantastic. Kanye's little Barrington Levy ad-libs are killer. I think the track deserves a megamix, it's the kind of beat I wanna hear every MC take on.

I wouldn't agree that he's gotten better at all. I think he's gotten worse in every conceivable facet of rapping, personally. I thought that it was an awesome question, and also I was thinking "where did this kind of mainstream scrutiny of hip-hop come from." Maybe I didn't make that clear.

His releases since then have ALL been fire since then though. Freddie Gibbs has amazing quality control. Has there been any new releases since Cold Day in Hell?
