Space Age Hustle's 3 Years Ahead: The Cloud Rap Tape has a bunch of chill stuff, including a bunch from Main Attraktionz who's whole catalog is worth checking out.

Tree's Sunday School tape has a bunch of soulful production and has a cross-regional sound like A$AP's.

Blu has a bunch of chill stuff, but he throws tapes up and takes them down with no rhyme or reason, so it can be hard to track down.

Nujabes made a bunch of really chill stuff.

I dunno why- it seemed maybe more raw, and he's tread the same kind of ground in his subsequent releases? Here's a dope song of his that I don't often listen to, it's on youtube but actually you should download the tape and play it in a stereo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-_WTXR9v9A

this isnt from his first tape by a long shot, just a lil heads up. plenty more gibbs out there

I'd agree that he's gotten better at rapping, meaning his flow has become more effortless, but I wouldn't say it's a good thing, especially when his lyrical content is largely the same. Barring a few remixes here and there C2 was pretty much the last time he spit with any sort of depth or complexity. Not that the short punches and hashtag flows can't be entertaining sometimes, but compare Tha Mobb to the C4 Intro and there's a pretty big drop-off in quality.

In other news, the GOOD Music remix of that Chief Keef joint dropped and it's fantastic. Kanye's little Barrington Levy ad-libs are killer. I think the track deserves a megamix, it's the kind of beat I wanna hear every MC take on.

midwestboxframe is probably my favorite too. But I think it came out after Misseducation of Freddie Gibbs though. But yeah, it made me a huge fan when it came out, and made me take notice of DJ Skee a lot more. His releases since then have ALL been fire since then though. Freddie Gibbs has amazing quality control.

Yeah, not my thing. Cool beat and production but I don't like his rap. Like, to me he sounds bad at rapping. I don't know how to put it except that I don't like his flow, his delivery... The beat is great, but then he's on it so no, thanks, just not my thing.

i think people have been saying kanye's fallen off ever since late registration. dude imo has the best music output of any mainstream rapper ever, he has one mediocre album (which honestly was ruined by jay-z, you replace him with a bunch of guests and it's way better), one song that's just ok and now again people saying he's done.
